I liked it then and still like it now, but have become somewhat disillusioned. Sometime people don't do things just out of the goodness of their heart. Imagine that!

Or help itself. All the stuff that only comes out after time, and you see the manipulation of the masses, false flag operations and other motives.

There will always be a negative while trying to get out of a ditch I guess.. Some of the positive things I have read that he is working on I never heard come out of the mouth's of the men before him, let alone try to do something about them.. I think he is doing the best he can with what he has..

Hi there, I was reading the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (I'm an under 3 posts to post links but if you search on it, the United States International Trade Commission website has the files) and I do not see any tariffs due on most tractors or implements (Unless importing from North Korea or Cuba). Engines and rebuilt parts generally were in the <5% range.

That was actually how I interpreted the quote from the article. The tariffs, and the increased prices, are only on the parts of the tractor that are manufactured and then imported from China, as opposed to being applied to the entire tractor. Those increases will be in the 1-5% range.

<gasp> Yes, that means Kubota is admitting some of the parts on their tractors are made in China.

^^ Where do they get their steel from to make the frames, body panels and other components?

It's not clear to me if they are referring in the article to raw materials, or assembled components. The article specifically says "parts" (what I interpret to mean assembled components) as opposed to "materials" (such as the raw steel). Maybe they get their steel somewhere else? Or maybe the author just neglected to mention that aspect of the price increases.

And let's remember that 5% doesn't sound like much to many, but it can be the breaking point for some. 5% on $20,000.00 is $1,000.00 which can kill a deal for some. Yes, I know they aren't raising the full price of any given machine, but larger machines could go up that much. It can mean buying a different brand that hasn't raised their price (yet), or buying used instead of new. Or not buying at all. If sales start falling, who does that help?

id say on that %5. most people finance and really I doubt they will notice or care about the difference of 1,000$
