For me, it's all about the dealer/service. I had bought 2 Kubota's and when it was time to buy a American brand, i went to a Deer dealer near me. It was such a fiasco that i told them to come get it 2 hours after they delivered it. Drove to the dealer to get my cheque back and took it to the Kubota dealer. I'm sure Deer makes good products, but the dealer was bad and i'm happy with Kubota for now.

Is there any tractor that is truly American made where all parts are made in USA and tractor assembled here too?

What was the fiasco with the dealer that made you return tractor?

All parts? No. If you go up to the 8 series Deere and Case Magnums their main components- castings, engines, etc. are made in the US. But they still have computers made in China, probably hydraulic fittings made in Europe, things like that.

Even many internal engine parts aren't made in the USA...

I've seen Cummins diesels that have gears in them that say, "Made In England"...

Deere tractors have a lot of china parts in them...

About 6 months after I bought my first Kubota I was in the dealership and asked my salesman just kidding 滴ey, if Kubota is so good why do they only give one year bumper to bumper warranty? He replied, go home and try to break it. That sold me, I won稚 even shop for another brand. There are comparison videos on most brands so look around. I wont own anything but a Kubota and Toyota.

I like Kubota tractors, but I've had my share of Kubota CUT tractor problems, so don't ever get the idea that they are all that bullet proof!

I have news for that Kubota salesman, there are plenty of people out there that could break a Kubota (or any brand) tractor in a heartbeat.

Guys along the same lines of where this thread has gone. I need some unbiased advice about dealer relationship.

Background: I have tested the JD 1025r, the bx23s, and the GC1720. I even rented a bx25d for the three day weekend and had 20 yards of soil and mulch dropped off to spread out. (hard clay currently) I ended up breaking it after 8.5 hours (lug nuts front left tire popped off )when drive thru the rut that the dump truck left while I carrying full load.

I feel that the gc1720 is the best bang for my buck based on the limited data I have.

Delima:

Massey Furgason: there is only one authorized dealer within 50 miles of me I drove out to meet him Tuesday and test drive he even had some gravel he let me move around. When i say this is a small dealer that an understatement he is in the middle of nowhere (Gainesville, TX) mainly serve the big farms in the area so the SCUT is just this thing on his lot that had been there since 2017. The controls where great and it seems to have a much easier time than the bx25d I rented. He
super nice older gentleman. I have no doubts he come from an age where a handshake means it will happen. (at least 70 or 80 yo) just concerned that in 10years i would have to drive 100 miles to get service.

BX23s The kubota HQ is here in grapevine there is five dealership in Dfw all by this one company the one near me in Denton i talked to sales guy and asked him for a quote twice he couldn't be bothered. I fill out a form on Kubota website and they routed back to him even then he tacked on these other charges bring it closed to 29k I was like this guy is trying to get ride of business. Horrible experience. However i feel this is the 2nd best for the money.

1025r: The JD dealer this a local lawn and land shop and the customer service is awesome. They know your name i got a bobcat zero turn from them all of my lawn gear from them really, once I found out about this place. You can literally walk in and see narley old dudes just hanging out talking about engines or feed or the soil. Me coming from the city i had never experienced anything like it it was awesome. However i feel i will break the JD product in one season. I have no personal evidence only the horror story on YouTube and the little i test drove it. I would feel silly buying anything bigger than a SCUT and driving on 2 acres.

So how important is the dealer, someone mentioned first time owners should I put more emphasis on the dealer? Any direction is greatly appreciated!

Dealers can make ALL of the difference. We purchased a Kubuta L2550DT where we lived many years ago. When we moved to a new community we also changed dealerships for parts.

The new dealer was probably the most inept business I had ever encountered. In 2002 the order list was on spiral binder and hand written. I would go in and order a part and they would write in in the notebook. I had a number of "issues" with their system.

I had ordered a small part and after a week or so I stopped by to see if it was in. I was told it had not been ordered yet because they wait til they get a "Full order" to save on shipping. How about the customer make that call.

I ordered a part and again after some time I checked the status. The counter person went to the spiral book and flipped the pages back a week or so and found it and said "there is a note saying we need the serial #".

I ordered stuff and when I went to check the status was told "It looks like someone forgot to order the part. Do you want us to overnight the order?" Ya, another week lost.....

Since my work place was near the old business where the tractor came from, I eventually ordered stuff through them. I would even call them from home and have them UPS the part to me 100 miles away. It was safer.

I did not buy the tractor from them, I get it. But after five years of buying parts from them did they have to tell me every time I come in the door that I could get a discount on parts if I bought the tractor from them.

This company sold to a new buyer and the first thing the new company asked me was my name, phone number as well as the model and serial number of the tractor to put in their database. I have never had an issue with the new owners.

It is about service in my book. Everyone will eventually be standing at a parts counter.
