That's an improvement over just driving it away when you have it lifted? I suppose some what.

Moral if the story, no quick way to move snow, without bigger equipment.

Looks interesting, how much does it weigh ?

I answered my own question by contacting Bercomac and asking....

What is the operational weight of the
66″ Vantage Snowblower for tractors equipped with "Skid Steer" style attach
with 25HP Honda with battery, battery support and wiring ?

Their response was 693 pounds.

What? You have HST with 24 gears?

Yes, high, med, low, x 4 gears,x turtle and hare. Always in hare. Rarely use high.

HST doesn't have gears, only ranges. It uses a hydraulic motor with infinite variability (within the power available). For instance:
Low - 0 to 5 MPH (infinite)
Med - 0 to 10 MPH (infinite)
High - 0 - 15 MPH (infinite)

Notice that each range starts at 0. Rather than a geared transmission where 1st gear (if the clutch is fully engaged) will always provide a Positive forward speed, for instance a 3 x 4 may look like:
Low - 1.2, 2.4, 3.8, 5.1
Med - 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 11
High - 5.0, 10.0, 15.0, 22

That's why I asked, I know HST doesn't have gears, it has ranges.. Seems to me he has a syncho trans..

Have you decided on what type of snow removal equipment you are intent on purchasing?

I've had great success using a 64" wide 3 point snow blower on my Kubota B7800 for the past 13 years.
If I wear this Frontier SB1164 snow blower out I plan to get another one just like it.
I do not think it would be wise to put that 693 pound Bercomac snowblower on my Kubota B7800 LA 402 loader.

Other option is using hydraulics to power blower on front. I know someone who did that on skidsteer. No sheer pins. Looking forward and can raise it 10 feet.

But it is expensive.
Most tractors don't have the hydraulic capacity to handle hydraulic snowblower. Even alot of skidsteer won't do it, a machine with high flow is required

A pto blower just outside the tires is what he needs if he is blowing packed snow, small bites and away it will go..

Re: 72" snow blower and 35 hp?

I won't live there for a while. So there is no getting the accumalation under control. This is a camp at the moment.

That is the down side of rear, can only lift about 4'? My dad went front hydraulic so he lift it 10', but I don't want to spend the money.

It was clear to the porch on my previous visit
I have a 84 in loftness snowblower that sits on the front of our 35 PTO horsepower Kubota l3830. It works very well for clearing out most everything from fresh powder to old packed ice banks.
I would see if you can find a blower that has a serrated auger, or weld teeth to the auger of whatever you get. Then the teeth will chew up the ice banks.

The extra width past the wheels is nice to be able to turn without getting into the snowbanks.

I mispoke. Though does it change anything the discussion, other proving my tractor ignorance?

I am curious when I would ever use the different ranges or speeds. For what I do now, I never use the turtle. Maybe not have to stop and shift into low, when in medium??
