Buffalo was a brand here before HF

That's about the best praise anyone could give Buffalo. A box of bandages should have been included their wrench set.

Just hauled my Speedway Band Saw to the dump last week. It was a pain to make it work but the tent sale had left town so I fiddled with it until it did. I actually ordered a spur gear from HF that was similar enough I made it work in the Speedway. The HF saw gets bad reviews and it looks a ton better than the Speedway. I replaced it with a china plasma cutter so time will tell.

I also bought a Speedway grinder that is a TOTAL POS. I need to get new stones for my old Delta and put it back in the garage. To bad I couldn't make the 8" stones convert to my old 6" grinder. The 8" Speedway takes about two minutes to get up to speed then dies as soon as you touch it with a piece of metal. Just say NO to Homier.

Bought quite a few tools from Cummins and had good luck. My bench grinder is over 20 years old and still works great. Dead blow hammer, large farm wrench set, and various hand tools like axle seal puller. Before northern and harbor freight they were the only option in rural area besides the tool truck $$ for handyman home use.

We have one called 'snap on tools', they cruise from factory to factory in what looks like one of your UPS trucks, only one front door and a walk through display in the back, a few similar knife sellers do the same around the abattoirs offering knives and sharpening on the spot.
Just googled it and found it is a US based company.

Years ago i bought a socket set from one of those traveling tool sales. A whole set for like $3. Still got most of one set.

These weren't Snap On, they are expensive..

At the Ag shows and field days there are always a multitude of sellers offering cheap tools, I bought a 2" ring spanner that broke the first time I used it and have no idea who the sellers were or where they came from, show goes and they are gone too.
I found it hard to justify a lot of $$$$$$$ for a good one but lost out on this, having said that some of the sellers are good and there is one who has bare wood tools, such as wood turning tools with no handles, never had any problems with his stuff and I know where to find him not that any have ever broken.
We have Sunday markets at different sites and a lot of those tool sets pop up there, not great quality but probably good enough for the little use they get here, if I want something good I pay for it.

I've got one of those old Buffalo Tools metal cutting bandsaws. It is an 88 model and still works fine.

I was mistaken on the Homier air wrench. It is a Cummins and it has held up well.

Electronics too (mostly car & home stereos). Lots of bait & switch. They'd advertise name brand items, but when you asked about them you were told that they'd already sold out. Yeah, right.
Most of it was junk.

Traveling tools gone around here also but that crowd seems to have been replaced by discount clothing sales most of which are either to small or to big, like U need to be under 5 ft or over 300 lbs. and naturally that sheepskin coat was sold yesterday.

But now everybody wants your coins, gold and silver and they all pay more than the other guy.
I'd like to know who calibrates their scales!

Another travelling dog and pony show is golf supplies.
