I have a, new to me, 2011 Nissan forklift that will not accept grease in one zerk.
I have removed the zerk, and attached it to my grease gun, and grease flows readily.
The zerk is located in the end of a pin, and fills the pin completely with grease.
The grease inside the pin is soft, and I have tried cleaning the pin center completely out.
Grease should come out at both ends of the pin, to lubricate the pin (a washer on each end), where it passes through each side of the pin mount, but none does. The pin is a pivot mount (very little movement) for a hydraulic cylinder that tilts the forks.
Any ideas on how to get grease to both ends of this pin?

Remove the pin, clean the grease passages, flush with new grease and replace.

ive used the heat wrench on my skid steer pins many times when they wouldn't take grease.

Very tough job to remove the pin, (nasty location) but I may have to do that.
Was hoping for an easier suggestion.

sometimes I have to grease a few pins while bucket is fully raised instead of resting position, try greasing it in another position if u can. Ive never had to remove a pin for it to take grease....heating is my last resort but has worked every time

I had a plugged zerk on my GN trailer jack and after fighting with it for a few years I finally tried a Loc-n-lub grease zerk connector. I could put much more pressure in the zerk with the same grease gun. Popped it right open.

Somewhere in the dark past, seems there was a grease fitting that you could strike with a hammer, thus giving a high pressure momentary shock to clear plugged ports.

I have one of those, they do work "some times"...

Thanks for the memory, even though at times foggy.

I wonder if the pin has a grease groove going around the circumference connecting the cross holes?
