I thought about NOCO but liked the temp compensation of the Battery Minder...
Not a day has gone by without the Battery Minder charging/de-sulphating something.
Battery Minder lists a 6 volt model but websites list as discontinued.
A lot of my 6 volts could use the treatment.

Temperature compensation is a good idea, but if your Ambient temp is typically as moderate as I think it is, then it is more a Nice to Have, than a must.....

IMO, where it matters most is at low temperatures, at least if the battery caps are removable, and you (not meaning You, ur) check levels.
Keep looking, but my vote would be to skip the temp/comp and get some kind of de-sulphating 6v in place, if you have none now.....

Mild climate 99% except for Tahoe and Olympia...
I keep a vehicle on a charger in Olympia that might go 6 months unattended... it has been a concern.
To mitigate... the battery cable is disconnected and the car sits on a concrete slab in a barn with nothing nearby...

10 days after being left out in rain, and after sitting in sun as much as possible,
8amp Battery Minder started working again, green charge light came, went on maintain/desulphate as normal.

Great news Drew. I’ve got several of the Battery Minders. This one is on our trolling motor battery. I’ve got one on the Corvette as well.

thanks, this was the good one, would really have been annoyed if I wrecked it.
whatever this spec is, it doesn't cover condensation I guess very well.
Intrusion-protected from water and dust per IEC STANDARD IP65.

^^^ I'm pleased with the Minder I bought... it has been plugged in somewhere since arrival.
I would buy the same 7 stage charger in 6 volt but no offerings at the moment in this series...

Let me start by apologizing for not reading thru all 219 posts... I recently was at a Harbor Freight sidewalk sale and grabbed a Viking charger/maintainer that had been $35, marked half price then half of that, so it was $8.75- new but slightly crunched box. I was skeptical, but I have three machines that sit a lot, and I figured another maintainer would be useful. I have used it on two different batteries, one in a zero-turn and one in my Miata, and it seems to work as advertised. The Miata's battery has never seemed in better condition considering I often don't take it out for weeks if the weather is bad. The everyday price of this would be affordable, especially if on sale or with their ever-available 20% off coupons.
