I was MIG welding in an unusual position. I had just started the arc, my hand wobbled a bit, and the tip bounced off an adjacent (painted) steel surface, which drove the wire through my off-hand glove and into the side of my thumb. I'm pointing to it with the stinger in the attached photo. Minor injury to be sure, but sharing to save others the pain of in instantly cauterized wound.
