The "TACO WAGON" has arrived

My trucks are nowhere near as high as what you guys are describing, yet they both have canoe racks with side rails which I find are very helpful as handholds while getting in and out of the bed; especially when I have my snowsled or ATV to crawl around.

They move up here, and all that we hear is " if this was New Jersey..."
I worked briefly with a woman who used to brag "we like to say the natives have gone feral"... then couldn't figure out why they didn't accept her.

They move to places like Maine because they like the rural area,....then... they want to "improve" it to be like the city environment that they came from.
I grew up on rural Cape Cod...now... it is essentially a suburb of Boston.

It happens to every rural area, outsiders moving in and then have to change it to the mess they left.

The townies move out here, buy some land that was being farmed and then build a Mc-mansion on it. Next thing they do, is put in an acre or two of lawn that they have to mow, and buy a tinker toy tractor to mow it... lol

Then starts the complaints of the smell of cowchit in the air! The complaints of the combines running at night and the equipment running too slow down the roads!

Others will buy a wooded acreage Then they go in and cut out all the tree's and build a big house, and plant tree's!! lol I asked one of them, "why didn't you just leave some of the tree's that were already there?" He just looked at me like I was NUT'S!

In Alaska, we always got the ones moving to Alaska to get away from where ever they come from. Then they would want to make changes in the area, and say "that's not the way we did it back home!"

I'd always tell them, then GO BACK HOME!! lol

I have been known to ask them why the heck don't you go back to where they ran you out of.

I was on a date with a woman who kept talking about how much she hated it here. I finally asked her "why do you stay?"
She gave me an honest answer, that she stayed because her kids were there.
Needless to say I never heard from her again.

Well - here goes with the cell phone. Get computer back tomorrow. Last OS upload went poorly. Also get new bumper step tomorrow. One of these days it might even stop raining. Got the PW sitting out in the yard. Most of the driveway mud has all washed off now. Later.
