Good morning, 68˚F heading to the 90s partly cloudy light winds coming off the Gulf of Mexico.
Today we get to read the owners manual and figure out everything out on our KIA Stinger. It had all the features we were looking for with warning beeps I could hear, ventilated seats, etc. . . and most importantly the wife like the way it looks and handles.
The lawn has finally taken off and it looks like a mow day.

Good morning! Big change from yesterday. 38 now, will struggle to maybe 52 today. But tomorrow is looking good, predicted to be 74.

Didn稚 ride yesterday, by the time I was ready to go, fog had descended onto the side of the hill. But 3 miles up the road, it was clear. That is ok, ran some errands with the truck after work.

Grass is getting really green. Signs of springs everywhere.

Everyone take care....have a safe and good day

First cup of coffee has been poured. 30° mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 50° with cloudy skies. Rain/snow in evening. Mower never got serviced yesterday. While it made it to 60° there was a cool NW wind. Stayed in and did some honey do things. Then remembered that Comcast has all premiums channels free this week. That took up 6 hours. Today looks to be the same. I hope to get honey do list down to a manageable length.
Lots of visits at feeders yesterday. 12 turkeys, 8 squirrels, many birds, 6 deer and Pepe Le Pew.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

A cloudy 35ºF for today’s low; 37ºF presently; and I anticipate a mixed sun/clouds and temps in the low 40ºF’s this PM. Plan for today- PT in the afternoon and hopefully smoke that turkey breast today. Living +24 miles from any “Big City” and most health care related facilities really puts a damper on trying to do anything even close to productive around here; combine medical related appointment and a shopping event or 2 and the day is gone.

David- Thanks for the picture of Kalani and furry buddies. Kalani may be old, but she is still a beautiful grande dame. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for her and the rest of the pack.

… - Parking at the hospital is always a nightmare, insufficient capacity coupled with fantasy appointment times leads to an excess of vehicles with nowhere to go. It's a great incentive to try and stay healthy.- Eric. I/Wifey have similar challenges. Fortunately my PT is at a facility outside of town with essentially a vacant parking lot.

Bill- I wish you safe journeys down to the “Big Smoke” and back and that all planned activities are successfully achieved.

Don- Good luck with the KIA Stinger and deciphering the owner’s manual. Our Forester’s Manual has at least a 100 pages of inapplicable content. I look forward to seeing some new car pics.

RonJH- That’s a healthy looking stinker. Thanks for sharing. It’s still a little early for skunks around here……. Soon there will be eau de skunk in the air.

Something got Mr. Bonehead Brogen “going” this AM……. Bird feeders still intact. I think today is the day I bring in the feeders at night and chain up the metal ashcans containing birdfood.

I hope everyone has a manageable day.

My + thoughts, wishes, ad prayers.

J, batteries are ordered and sitting on the shelf, fully charged and just waiting for me to shell out my hard earned scheckels.

   / Good morning!!!! #92,030
Bill- Those AGM batteries are quite expensive. At one point I wanted to convert my little sailboat to electric auxiliary power using AGM batteries. The cost of the fancy German trolling motor and the batteries exceeded the value of the boat. I hope you have a safe trip.

Good morning everyone!

Sodamo, hope your pup gets better.

Cool mornings give way to near record heat here.

Not feeling well. Not sure what's up. Might take day off.

62°F and clear this morning. We should see 90°F this afternoon. It got to 93°F yesterday afternoon. It too early for 90's!

I need to do some outside window washing, on the house, today ...... unless I can come up with a good excuse to do something else. . The only job I like less than washing outside windows ....... is washing the inside of windows. .
Neither can be done using a tractor?

We're all looking forward to pictures of your "new ride" Don.

Hope everyone has an excellent "hump day".

Prayers to all.

Pepe did not stick around. When the motion light came on. He headed back the way he came. That's OK with me.

When we had our place in Fayette County, a skunk insisted that her home was under the front porch. Buddy, our German Shepard, insisted that it wasn't. He lost pretty much every encounter they had.

An older rancher neighbor's wife told me that skunks don't like moth balls and that worked. I had a small shop vac with a blower mode. I made up a short piece of 2" PVC pipe with a tee. I could turn it on, pour the mothballs into the tee and blow them under to porch. I just put about half a box down every six months.

Good morning all,

39 and snowing lightly with a 15-20 mph wind. Supposed to get up to 6" but we'll see, I hope we get none.:D

I talked to a "good" neighbor last night about getting the roadbase I need for my road. He has a dump truck. He said if I pay for the material he'll bring whatever I need at no charge. He thinks he overcharged me for some backhoe work last year when building my house, I don't think so. Looks like I'll be taking him and his wife out to dinner or something. I'm not going to let him do it for free.

We just need to wait for the gravel pit to open up for the year. They still have lots of snow at the pit.

Prayers for all, hope everyone has a good day.

It was 27° this morning. Yesterday wasn't to bad in the morning but it started snowing in the afternoon and is still at it this morning. It looks like we have about 12 inches so far. The forecast is calling for another 6-8 more inches for today. We still have the storm warning tell tomorrow morning.

Ted ... Hope you don't get any of this.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing today, if it looks like it's going to quit I'll try moving it around later.

Hope everyone has a good hump day.
CWB.

That right there sounds like a lot of fun, Rick, even if you didn't manage to hit the skunk with a moth ball or three!:laughing::laughing:

Good morning to all! Low of 42, going up to 52, breezy this morning, increasing to 'windy', gusts to 55-60, sustained at 25-30. Did I ever mention that I hate wind?

Don, neat car, congrats. Pics?

Ron, glad you didn't have any Pepe encounters.

David, I hope Kalani recovers quickly...hope there is good news coming. How old is she?

Bill, I hope your meeting goes quickly and the battery order goes smoothly.

JMK, safe trip home....no daydreaming about the tractor while your driving!

Jay, the smoked turkey breast sounds delicious...hope you can get to do it today. We are 32 miles outside of "the big city". I can relate to the feeling of the day being gone with just a few errands.

Eric, if you are going to the hospitals here for an appointment, you better add at least 45 minutes to the schedule...it will take you that long to find a parking space...similar to musical chairs...cars driving around in circles looking for that one open space...who can get there first...

After the walking around for the errands yesterday, Mr knee was complaining. Doing the loop around Walmart was about all it could take. Little spurts of walking are ok, seems like anything over a half hour being upright is just not tolerated well. I have an appointment with the ortho doc tomorrow morning, we'll see what happens..... Funny how the talk about hospital parking happened the day before I have to go deal with it!

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent.
