It came that way. It is needed with the front castor wheel.
But I can also curl up and keep the front wheel up off of the ground if necessary :thumbsup:.
That's what I like about my brush cutter on the FEL arms of my PT425. The cutter has two casters out front and two fixed wheels on the back. I can leave the FEL arms in float and the deck will follow the terrain, or I can lift it up to 4' off the ground and bring it's weight down on a shrub or bush to smash it down before cutting it, or I can cut almost vertically. It's also extremely nice to cut everything down before driving through it. Extremely nice! :thumbsup:
