rScotty, you always seem to think things out and it would seem you have done all possible to avoid another bad flood results. I personally believe floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc are going to become more frequent toward the end times that we are living in. In fact, I believe they have already become more frequent and severe.

I think this little community is small enough that most of us read all the Yanmar threads. So long as we include thoughtful responses to the OP's topic, I think its harmless to add in unrelated stuff - same as would happen in a face to face gathering of Yanmar enthusiasts.

But I'm probably the worst for getting off-topic and longwinded ..... :D

There's like 5 Yanmar sub-forums in English on the web. I'm on all of those. Bet Winston knows of more. :)

Yea, but a few of those might not get a single post one day! Or answers to a question for a few days

If you need flood info, we are 5 years into rebuilding our place after the 2013 flood. It's a long process, and there are a number of things I'd do differently.
There are basically two types of flood. One is what I'd call "water up; water down" but without much fast current.
The other type has fast current and carries lots of debris. Ours left about 4 to 6 feet depth of gravel and rock across the entire property.
Here's some pictures...

BLINK. I've only seen this post TODAY. I really never understood HOW BAD your flood became. It's over the top trying to relate to that disaster by just words alone. Your images only makes my head shake as if this was not-real, but totally real to grasp the situation.

Both types of floods do their damage. The area I was raised in is only a few miles for the Mississippi River. Most years in the Spring, water up/water down or as it is referred to in that area as backup water occurs. Some years badly others not as bad. Washed roadways is a frequent issue with these floods.
My Son In Law works for the US Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake in MO. A few years back, the St Francis River went over the **** spill way and cause a great deal of washout. This was 6-7 years ago or more. Much of that damage has not been repaired still yet.
Bottom line is regardless of the type of flood, everyone needs to respect that rising water is not to be taken lightly. If it is reported in your area give it attention and move to safety.

To close this out . . . I took delivery on a 2610D with a rotary cutter on Tuesday. It has a thing hanging off the front that looks like a loader, but it is really my wifes new patio.

I would add a picture, but I can not figure out how from my phone.
Jbo.

With the NSA help, I snagged that pix off your phone and posted it here.
