Great info Bonestock...I'm planning on doing my RK24 this weekend.

Started my 50 hour service this morning on my RK 24, all went well until the trans/Hyde change out. The filter is almost impossible to get to for change out, so I suggest routing another hydraulic line or brace across it to make it impossible 😂. I have 3 drain plugs. One on each final and one in the middle. So this brings me to my issue. Should I drain through all 3 or just the bottom plug?

Just curious how does that screen filter come out?

Oh yeah I forgot to add that as well. I do not see where it is located. Bonestock's seems to be right at the throw away filter.

I went to the local Rural king and ordered the filters for my service. Thought I would show the process, although straight forward, just some advice and steps I took. Performing hydraulic services is a major service at my job, and was surprised how much metal was on my pre pump screen on my tractor.

Awesome video Bonestock. Concise and well produced. Will definitely help others who choose to perform their own service. Great job!

On my RK24, I removed the rubber hydraulic line at the fitting beside the hydro. filter to gain access. Gave me enough room to get the filter out of captivity! I never found the screen filter shown on the RK19 video. Still looking though!

Where did you drain the hydro? Through the bottom plug on the side of something that looks like an appendage dachshund would drag through the snow?

Yep, right inside of the dachshund's left rear leg! Can't miss it.

After seeing the tracks in his first snow I understood why the little fellow hates it! Ha!
