Once and for all?
If someone does not choose to post their location for any reason at all, that should be that. NO ONE should be allowed to repeatedly and continuously hound others about posting their location. Whether or not some feel that information may be somehow valuable in forming their replies does not matter at all. If it isn't there and a poster doesn't feel they can answer in a way they feel necessary, they don't need to reply.
The obsession some have is getting offensive and is causing unnecessary discord and distraction in too many threads.

1) Nobody
has to post
or answer anything on TBN. Or any other site for that matter.
2) The Ignore List is a useful tool. I don't use it much, but for the times I do, it's invaluable.
3) All of us are free to come (unless we've worn out our welcome)
and go. I had enough of TBN at one point, and stayed away for a while. I found value in leaving, and, obviously, in coming back. If you can't stand the kids in this sandbox, not sure that asking the grown-ups to intervene is really going to address the "problem".
4) Someone posted a general question about prepping a car for Winter. Those of us in the snow-belts wrote context appropriate advice in our responses, seeing as he lived in an area that normally doesn't seen snow. His location was relevant to meaningful interchange of info...... he was asking what he should do to his daughter's car, who was leaving to attend a distant, snow-bound university.
Sometimes location does have meaning, relevant to the discussion. Other times, no bearing at all....
5) I appreciate the moderation that is done here to keep discourse civil. There is plenty of garbage strewn all over the internet, we don't need more.
I have no problem ignoring people, esp. on the internet. The Ignore List on here is a wonderful filter.
