Looks like it has the 'snowmobile' deck like mine with center one-third ribbed steel and the left/right thirds plywood.

The little 4x8 SnowBear is no wider than the Subaru Outback that I tow it with, so little wind resistance on the freeway. And it will slip through any tight spot that the Subaru can go through. Congestion in a parking lot, etc? No problem! Hold my beer and watch this!

I originally bought it for the many dump runs when I had 50 years of Dad's yard sale 'treasures' to sort through and dispose of. Now 20 years later, its handy to go into the apple orchard to pick the family trees. And then hitch it to the Subaru to take the fruit home without transferring anything. Other uses are extremely varied.

This is my 12 year old 6 x 10 snowbear trailer. Same as yours with the plywood outer edges and metal center, plus metal at the front deck. It usually stays on the farm and gets towed around by the side-by-side taking jumps in and out of the ring, grass and brush or bales from the fields, dirt or mulch, garbage to the road, etc. It has a 3500 lb axle with no brakes, but i don't usually put much more than 2000 on it because the tires are a bit skinnier than a regular car tire and won't handle that much weight very well. I can roll two 5 foot round bales up the ramp though, and cart them around with the side-by-side and they are light enough that they don't damage the fields when the ground is too wet for the tractor to travel without leaving ruts. Once or twice a year though, it gets to carry the side-by-side instead of being towed by it, when we go to a horse show where the rings and stables are far enough apart that it helps to have transportation for the show grounds.

Mine doesn't have the benefit of the California sun though, so it is waaaaayyyy more rusty than yours is. I use fire hose over my straps so the rust does't chafe them too much. Still though, it is a handy light-duty trailer that has held up well considering I paid less than 1000 for it new. Have replaced the bearings on both wheels, am on the second set of tires, and re-did the wiring to be full circle pos & neg because the ground-to-frame kept rusting out. Other than that, no problems.

Here’s one of the best I’ve seen. These idiots rolled into the parts store with nine 55 gallon barrels or maybe a tad bigger ones on a single axel lawnmower trailer. The trailer jack was nearly dragging the ground, the trailer frame was obviously bent, and the truck was nearly dragging the ground. They decided the right course of action was to buy a taller hitch. Then the jack bent trying to jack it up and they couldn’t get it on the taller hitch. So then they had their hefty girl friends get on the truck tailgate to squat it enough to clear. Other then the obvious approach of making 2 trips they could have moved the barrels back and avoid most of the problems. View attachment 602353View attachment 602354

Sad. Nobody gave a darn about that BIG beautiful tree. Those old photoes always bug me. Taking such pride in that destruction.
