Ford 1510 Won't start - any suggestions?

Needs for starting:

450 psig compression or greater at the 200 rpm rated cranking speed....and you need a power source to produce 200 rpm cranking speed for a minute or so...takes 200-300 amperes
Correct pump timing
fuel and ability to mist it into the cylinders
air for compression
more like 275 to 400 psi..

I can dig my Ford I and T manual back out and post the paragraph if necessary to clear this up.

It is VERY unlikely that compression has suddenly dropped.
The OP might first check negative cable condition ,and clean ground (negative) to frame cable attachment point.
Next : Replace both negative and/or positive cables.

a cracked head would do that, I hope that's not the problem, check everything else first.

Read post 1, (turns over couple of times then clicks). It is not a compression issue.

fixes for that were covered. if it STILL don't start, then it could be a compression problem.. anyway, the engine has to crank fast enough to get enough compression!..

Make sure you checknthe connections on the starter itself, make sure that there is not a bunch of corrosion on the connector, (and its not green looking), If your happy with that, mthen try using jumper cables off your truckmconnected to the battery. That will help deliver extra cranking amps, even with some bad and or corroded cables, and at least you'll have something to compare, to the process your going through now. You also, can take the plugs out, then crank the engine several revolutions, with no compression. This will also make it easier for the starter to turn the engine over several times, and you shouldnt have any problems. If you do.. then you need to start focusing onnyour starter or bendix.
