Meeting with friends breakfast, lunch and dinner. going to be very overfed.
back hurts from hotel bed, headed downstairs for lots of coffee.

Plans for today...nice steady wind should help keep blackflies at bay I'll start my 2+ hour trimming task,back drag top half driveway heavy rains from last evening tore it up here and there,work on rope hand rail for walk bridge,oh yeah its date night.
E muffin feed little critters than get at it.

While I'm staying cool here, looking at bad news forecast for home, high nineties until mid next week and no rain.
Could wreck the potato field, it was bone dry when I left. Nothing to do...
volunteers coming in to water veggies, keeping my fingers crossed as to what that looks like when I get back.
Here it's all lush and green.

headed to retired doc's farm for lunch today, he's the guy who I helped for two years while he recovered from having a z turn spin out on him on a wet hill, slide into his pond and the mower wound up on top of him. Yeah, lucky to be alive. His wife's family has had the farm for hundreds of years and I used to bush hog his fields. Might be a place for me to downsize to, they have wanted me to be their caretaker for years and were very disappointed when I moved South.
But I had a dream to fulfil, and I have. Also need to look forward in time.

those tornadoes out West are scary.

76 degrees going for a cloudy high of 90 again today. AAA is forecasting record high traffic for this coming Memorial Day holiday. I think we'll just stay home and only read about it, instead of joining the crowds.:laughing:

51 ｰF and going to a high of 66. Wind NW 12 gusting to 21 mph. Mostly sunny. We did get a little rain overnight, but it is not raining now.

I'm going to lay a tarp down in one of the shelters and spray my company work shirts with Permethryn. I understand that it is toxic to cats so that is why the tarp. when I am done (bottle is empty) then the bottle and tarp will go to the dump.
That is my project for today. Might cut the grass, but don't hold your breath.

We had a little power flicker and I ended up rebooting just before I was going to post this. Type it all over again.

Whipper is ready for the scorching summer heat with her new booties to protect her pads from getting burned. She was wondering why she didn't have these with all the grass burs in the country.

I use Win 10 and Chrome for my browser. Use quick reply at bottom of page. Using Chrome on iPad also works.
In lower left corner of quick replay is a message that a auto saved reply is available. Click on that message. Up will pop your previous message. Unfortunately it does not work on my iPad or iPhone using the TractorByNet app.
I checked MS Edge. It works same as Chrome.

Coco had some similar booties when she cut her pads on some frozen snow/ice as a puppy...we couldn't keep them on her for very long. Yours look more secure.
