...request that a lot of people have asked about...

IMO...It's a symptom of a disease that manifests from exposure to a highly infectious social media site...

On a side bet I'd wager a majority of those that have displayed the above symptom (request) did so using a cell phone...:D

Well, scrambler, at least half your request was already there. the little blue double arrow thingy you just didn't know about. But as for the "like" button? I don't think that is happening..

Not a big deal or anything but I think a LIKE button would be an improvement and can see no logic to any of these opinions against it.

The problem is on many forms it turns into a contest to see who can get the most likes. That contest has torn several forums apart by turning everything into 'if you like what I said please click "like" or "rep"'

I would rather have a full thought from someone than a like. A like button is lazy.

Always thought of the like button as a way to show you appreciate what they wrote. Why say something when you don't have something to say. We all know where that goes. Don't think it's lazy at all...

Might just be me, but in some ways a like button is a shining example of saying something when a person has nothing to say since there is no explanation of why the comment was liked, and no substance added.

Granted I'm also not a fan of the overuse of smiley/emojis either (e.g. when they are used to form "sentences") as using them in that manner is rather like discarding all the utility of a written language and going back to making paintings on a cave wall. ...of course put into that context a like button is rather like the equivalent of a prehistoric grunt of concurrence.

Despite all the technologically advanced tools humanity has developed, it never ceases to amaze me just how much modern humans still seem to have in common with prehistoric humans ...so on that note can I get a grunt of concurrence here? :D

(all in good humor of course)
