I thought I’d try to make a rack for organizing Visegrip type clamps. I wasn’t certain how it would turn out.

This is what I ended up using:
A scrap length of Handi Angle shelving and two slat wall hooks



Slots cut with Makita dry cut saw.



Bent the ends a bit.



Welded a slat wall hook on each end



Turned out okay so I’ll have to make a few more.

This style rack won’t work for welding clamps. Those I store under the welding table. Much quicker to hang them on a length of 1” pipe.

You must have over $50 tied up in clamping solutions.

I welded big fender washers to the end of most of my vise grips especially the big c type . Gives you a lot more leverage when looseining or tightening them or you are working with mig gloves on or outside in winter. Then you could hang them from washer. H ave a pair or two with large eye bolts in end replaceing adjusting bolt use it to tie on rope when working up high with a well wheel pull up stuff to partner above , have one pair of duck bills great for clamping to sheet goods. Use to do high walls in ware houses with pipe scaffold and well wheel one guy on top ,guy on bottom cuts sheetrock clamps duck bills onto rock and pulls up to guy on top.:drink:

Most likely a lot of you have one of those portable air tanks for inflating tires nowhere near a compressed air source.

I have one and I hated how long it took to fill using the Schrader valve it comes equipped with so I replumbed one with couplers and a lever ball valve.

Great idea. I would use a similar ball valve, but with a safety catch on the lever to prevent accidental release. My luck, I'd have it in the back of the truck and something would hit the lever and let it leak out, and then I would need some air and it's empty.

Good plan, Kyle.

On my stationary mounted valves I either remove the safety latch






or tie it off.




The above valves pictured have an exhaust port. When placed in the OFF position, all air pressure DOWNSTREAM is exhausted relieving pressure on lines and facilitating easy coupler/tool removal.
