Thank you Gene. I justed checked the bucket and think you are correct There isn't much spring tension and I can reach from one side of the tractor and lock and unlock the pins.I was looking through some old pictures from 2004 and found one of the solution using flat washers.
It's not very high tech, but it work for years and never lost the bucket again.
Yes, I do the same thing. The bucket wont shake loose unless bag dragging. Otherwise it stays on.whenever i put a front implement on i lift it up and shake it front and back with the stick to help it settle in before i push down the levers. don't know if it helps or not i just have always done it. never had issues and so maybe it helps.
Good eye. Thanks for catching this. Will pay extra attention to this area.So a couple people responded that they did not see what I think is wear on the bucket.
My eyes are not what they used to be, however this still looks like a problem to me.
Maybe the main problem, maybe not, but looks like it needs to be addressed.
Am I just seeing things?View attachment 607527
ThanksNo I see it too. The sun angle and shadow make it hard to see.
I lightened the picture to make the shadow stand out and added a straight line along the edge of the slot:

The worn spot shows in the dip on the shadow on the back of the bucket.
The way the slot is worn, the pin should be worn at the edges and not flat all the way across.
But I don't think the slight amount of wear would cause the bucket to come off.

I have WAY more problems when my bag is dragging,,,:dance1:
I have never noticed if my bucket is loose when I have that situation,,,:confused2:

His SSQA must differ from my L6060. Once the latches are snapped over center, there is no physical way for it to unhook without ripping through metal, which happened to me. Last winter I caught something when backing up with my snow plow. Not sure what it was but I noticed the right side was not in place. I didn’t understand how that could happen until I got a good view and saw the lower wedge pin had broke out the back of the slot into which it locks. Being winter and everything packed in my shops. The quick fix was to mount the blade back in place and drill a hole, bolt the blade in place. I’ll finish fixing it right this summer. However, on my Kubota loader, there is no way the bucket will come off once latched without ripping through, not sliding over, the lower plate.
