Good morning!!!!

Just got a call from Greensboro, NC, - Kiddie, they are sending a replacement extinguisher and a shipping label to send the re-called one back in the shipping box.
I sure don't want to be messing with a defective plastic lock when I need it.

I just checked and found that my fire extinguisher in the garage is one included in the recall, so I just now filled out all the questionnaire and sent it to them.

Good Morning. It's 69°F here this morning which is our first 60's morning in weeks. Forecast is for 90°F this afternoon. We had a little shower pass by last evening but ..... it didn't amount to much. Now ... no rain in our forecast until Sunday.

I got a good start cleaning some cross fence lines, around the house, yesterday and should finish that this morning. Then ..... more pasture work.

Drew .... maybe some training wheels on your mower?

David .... I looked at this pipe lay attachment, a few years back ...... if yours doesn't work out. One of my neighbors already had the Agri-Supply subsoiler. Before I could get the pipe lay attachment on order .... somebody stole my neighbors subsoiler? Who steals a subsoiler?

Single Tine Ripper 3-Point Pipelayer Attachment | Agri Supply 73622

Everyone have a great "Hump Day" today.

Prayers to all.

If you need 30,000 gallons, that is a much larger tank than mine (I have the option to connect to a much larger tank in the next field). Mine is only 6' diameter and 6' high. 120,000 litres would cost here 3,130 pounds (+ tax) for galvanised steel rings, fixings and 1 mm butyl liner. With an EDPM liner that would come down to 2,433 pounds. Steel Open Top Tank & Liner: 12, ltr 1.14m ∅ (33') | Butyl Products Ltd Group

Thanks for the details, Eric. Something well worth pursuing, especially at on fifth the price I was previously quoted for that capacity!

Good Morning!!!! 79F @ 5:00AM. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. Hot. High 101F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Thanks for sharing that potato photo, Drew. That's just like something I would do...

Got everything cleaned out up close to the house, much of it still living. I felt a bit like that Avatar dozer driver when the fence lizards came scampering out from under the rosemary bushes, and now wonder if they'll go someplace else more hospitable. Then again, after seeing how fiercely the rosemary burned at the edge of the fire safe zone, I feel a lot better about the survivability of the house in the next wildfire.

Worked outside until about noon yesterday, then came in for a water break, feeling kind of fried. Better than yesterday, but I just couldn't make myself go back out into the heat, which at 90F and low humidity, was mild compared to what a lot of you deal with all summer. Drank about a quart of water, took a nap, and finished the day working on the detail view for the solar array. It's a monster, 40' x 80' for 7800 W of power. The supplier is calling for mono-crystalline cells, David. Is that why the panels are so large?

Happy Hump Day, folks!

Good morning! 15˚F cooler than California at 64˚F but heading to the 90s.

Watched 4 baby coyotes and their parents play on the golf course yesterday evening. The trails on the other side of the neighborhood have been closed again because of 5 incidents of coyote's "aggressive behavior", what ever that means. (They probably want to eat some Muffins:D) Garden's well pump has been replaced and we have the green light to turn our irrigation systems. I picked the first eggplant yesterday and eggplant lasagna is soon to be on the menu.

J, glad your Brogen is now your home's protector. I chuckle because our chihuahua does the same thing, except with squirrels. I'm glad we don't have bears.

Another 5 days of rain and cloudy sky痴 in the forecast here. At least it is warm now. Glad I got the shed roof weather tight when I did.
I知 home now on bed rest for a few days recuperating from nasal surgery..no fun when you can稚 breathe out of your nose. Very little pain though so I can稚 really complain. Hopefully can resume light duty by the end of the week. Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

Hope for a quick recovery.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 45ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 75ー with lots of sun. Need to do some tree trimming where limbs run near cable wires. That should be enough for today.

The list for those healing keeps getting longer. Us guys need to work at staying healthy. Prayers for Drew, Phil, Jay, Randy, Buckeye, LS, Buppies and anyone I missed.

Kyle, hope your son bug bite is getting better. It's the new computer that is not working. I do have my notebook working. I need to scan and print some things. New computer does that. It can wait a week.

Good Morning All.

Ditto on the healing. Ron, thanks, his finger pad is still a bit swollen, but the pain now is just as if you had stuck something sharp into your palm he says.

and there is no reason to have ALL that salt in the commercial kraut either, I've had home made that tastes very different, and very good.
Kraut is like German lettuce and tomato on a sandwich...why do you think they called the Germans Krauts? They must eat a lot of it.

All the ball parks, particularly Philly and New York, offered kraut on dogs.

RNG, I've been wondering...how hard was it to get that brush grubber off the mass of bush at the end? Did you have to pry on it for awhile?
I have one, not out of box yet, and wondered if the pulling was super easy and the taking off a pita.

My wife loves Clausen's sauerkraut. It is cold packed, like their pickles (which I absolutely love).

woke up dragging with a sinus type head ache. wifey made me some coffee. Things are slowly tilting in a better direction. Time to get to work.

Have a blessed day all.

It's 38° this morning with clear skies. Yesterday was one of the nicest days so far this season. It was in the mid 70's and sunny all day with lite breeze. Today will be about the same it looks like.

Not much going on today.

Hope everyone has a great hump day.
CWB.

Went out yesterday evening to move the tractor, and one of the front tires was flat. Bead popped loose from the rim. No amount of compressed air will reseat it, so after breakfast I'll give it a shot of ether and hit it with a torch. But first I think I'll don a motorcycle helmet, some leathers, and heavy gloves and boots...

Gosh, I just LOVE this :censored: tractor...:smiley_aafz::banghead:

Good morning to all! Low of 52, going up to 82 today, sunny and light breezes. Chance of a t-storm tomorrow.

Still having IPad problems, apparently I can no longer "upgrade" the OS, can't get a different internet browser (currently using Safari which is definitely part of the problem), can't even get an update for that..... I guess it's time to save for a new one....

RNG, sorry to hear about the heat out there! Some of those temps further south of you are almost unbearable, let alone unbelievable at 115-116 degrees... Won't be a good fire season.

Drew, I hope your harvest party goes well on Saturday! Are you going to plant again or do the temps get too hot?

David, sorry to hear about the tractor delay...at least you'll be away and won't have a chance to think about it, right?

Jay, glad the Brogen / bear incident turned out for the best. Maybe the bear got the picture.... We will occasionally hear of a wayward bear around here, but usually only when the food sources are scarce up in the mountains. We are just far enough away from the heavily wooded area that our risk is slim. Coyotes are more of a threat.

Don, my wifey is very jealous.... One of her favorite dishes is eggplant parmigiana. She tried growing some a couple years ago....didn't do well, our growing season is short and the temps get way too cool at night.

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent for those healing or needing.

Was in Portugal once on business, the facility had a large swimming pool at the highest point. It doubled as fire water storage.
