Good morning!!!!

57°F and mostly clear skies this morning, going up to 73° today. Supposed to be sunny today and tomorrow, then rain for the next 7 or 8 days. Awesome ... we could use some more water around here (rolling eyes).

Rain yesterday snarled traffic enough that it took me an hour-and-a-half to get home from work. Got the fuzzy butts fed just in time to sit down and watch some hockey. Quite pleased with the outcome of that game. However, I stayed up way too late watching the post-game celebrations, and I'm really dragging this morning. But, in the end, the St. Louis Blues finally won the Stanley Cup. Very cool.

My oak front door is not looking too good anymore, and it's out of the weather. Worse part of doing that ceiling is having to sand.

My Dr told me to keep taking it easy, but my wife keeps saying i need to be exercising, because thats what her dads Dr has him doing. She forgets my pneumonia was last week, not last month.

Yesterday went home early from work, not feeling well. This morning I just feel wiped out. Slept in and came to work late.

Morning all.

Morning,

I am not a doctor, but I always say you need to listen to your body; don't rush it, sanding overhead is a bad thing when you can't breathe as well as you used to and it puts strain on the heart.
Who will do the application of the new sealer, both breathing and pumping blood around the body need to be taken in consideration here, breathing the vapors from the sealer isn't good for anyone let alone a person recovering from pneumonia.

IMHO... wait until your body tells you, you can do it or hire someone... in fact let the wife do it !

Just saw that the St. Louis Blues just won their first Stanley Cup tonight 4-1.

Congratulations to St Louis! Congrats to PJ too!

Congrats PJ on the Blues winning. Wonder how much of St Louis they will burn down tonight celebrating.

Actually, I'm a Detroit Redwings fan. Have been for about 30 years. I do follow the Blues, though, because they're the hometown team. Brett Hull is still my favorite player. Vladimir Tarasenko is pretty fun to watch these days. It was nice to see them finally get that monkey off their back. They were the only original expansion team to not win a championship. 52 years later, they finally did it.

Surprisingly, I haven't heard of any real violence associated with the celebration so far.

Oh, I have the ceiling to do not Buckeye, he was just commenting on my project, and you are right he does not need to be sanding his door while recovering.

Don is contemplating the sanding sealing. I wouldn't dream of doing that right now.

Oops, just saw Don's response....

I'm so far behind on projects it's overwhelming. Fortunately i have a wife who's very hard working.

I must have two left feet, as I don't really get on with rocker pedals or double pedals when I'm wearing welly boots.

Yeah, the blue ones have two pedals. I guess it's what you get used to. I couldn't stand the rocker pedals. Side by side pedals seemed much easier for me.

Fortunately for me my blue machine is an exception, the hydrostat uses one of these

I think Iseki may be using a Massey shuttle lever - does it look the same as on yours Drew ?

Good morning, another sunscreen lotion free day. Had the woodburner going yet again last night and will be tonight too. What a June this is turning out to be, the railway line north of us has been closed by flooding. My half finished water tank must have angered the rain gods big time.

Randy, only one night to go !

David, thanks for the info on the tanks. My needs are not as critical as yours, so I am hoping this lower cost metal+liner version will be adequate, the hot dip galvanizing on the rings looks good enough to outlast me.

One thing I will need to do is make a top for the tank, the older grandson will be fine with a few words of warning, but his younger brother may well turn out to be more inquisitive. Not sure yet how best to build one - any suggestions or pics would be very welcome.

RNG, When my last wooden shovel handle broke, I decided to try fiberglass. I picked up one of these on sale and with a coupon at Ace Hardware. I like it so much, I picked up a second one so I could leave it down by the bridge...that way I could do a little shoveling every time I went for a hike, and I needed to move some sand. It's been out in the weather a couple of years and still looks new.

Good morning! We are at 64˚F (68˚F on the sunny East facing porch) heading to 89˚F, sunny.

. Wngsprd, how long did your polyurethane last? Do you put on a high gloss?

The porches were done when we added onto our house in 1998 and have not been redone. They look about like your photo...(so I really think they look fine :) ). They are beaded board and I'd call it low gloss.
