ive owned several tractors but never a Kubota.the tiny front loader buckets and that awkward hy stat pedal drive me nuts. the 2 pedal hy stat system is far better ,to me anyways

I do not know when Kubota began to offer the SSQA nor the other mfrs. I know that by 2011 nearly every Kubota on every dealer lot in Maryland, Virginia and WV plus a few i noticed in PA and the Ohio Ag Show had SSQA on them while essentially none of the Deeres did. At the 2012 PA Ag Progress Days all Kubotas there had the SSQA and the MF did not. I was more impressed by what was made, delivered and on the lots than what was in the catalogs. Don't know what an SE model is.

At least in MD, VA, WV and the parts of PA and Delaware I visited, Kubotas were the first to be on the lots with primarily (most of the ones on the lots) with SSQA rather than the proprietary pin designs. That was among Deere, Massey, New Holland and Kubota. That was the basis for what I said. I thin that was wise and I think the entire industry will end up there. Just too many goodies are available with the skid steer interface.

I've been saying for years that the two best colors in a tractor are: SSQA on the FEL and all 3ph implements fit a Quick Hitch.

Those are the two things that make any tractor so useful and versatile. Everything is almost secondary to those two things IMO.

Having said that: Kubota L4330, RTV and ZD326. So I'm' somewhat biased towards a particular shade of orange.

Not related to the thread, but hats off to everyone who replied to this thread for being objective in their comments. I have not been on the site for a while now since I pointed out what I considered to be a fault in Kubota's engineering of their fuel delivery systems and the vast majority of posts to the thread bashed me as Kubota hater instead of helping to provide a solution to the problem I was having.

Glad to see that folks are using the site for what it should be; a rational discussion of the tractors we use and to help solve member's problems.

There is nothing rational with the title of this thread. It would imply that FEL's of all Kubotas are dangerous. Another "rational" statement made a few posts earlier used the word "tiny" to refer to Kubotas bucket.

I've watched a few videos on comparison of FEL capacity on various brands and it boils down to the marketing department. If you are exceeding the capacity of your bucket then you should have chosen a larger tractor.

The bucket on my L3301 FEL has performed for all my chores but I knew going in that I wasn't making a living with it and I wasn't in a hurry. I will be spreading pea gravel, paver base and eventually driveway gravel but I know that I need to not overload the bucket and not get in a hurry.

I chose Kubota for a tractor just as I chose a Lexus for a luxury vehicle and a Mazda for commuter car; reliability.

nope, compare them yourself.the kubotas I looked at looked to me like they ran out of steel to finish them.my old deere was deeper and overall bigger than the Kubota and my LS I have now is considerably bigger and deeper.check em out for yourself.the Kubota pedal is junk too.i have been on many kubotas and hate the pedal.i do think they are a great machine other than that

The only junk is your opinion. Go spread your manure somewhere else.

The worst buckets in the industry are those black stamped ones. Kubota buckets are as good as any. But all tractor buckets suck. Skid steer buckets are much better.

It’s ok if you got a crappy pedal and a tiny bucket. It’s the internet don’t take things so serious

The only thing that has tiny is your reproductive appendage. Now buzz off little man.

I'll do it. Tks.

The Thread has been started under Attachments with the title "Torsion Specs and Capability of FELs -- Loading and Testing."

JWR, nicely done. Thank you.
