It's funny to see all the fanboys hating in the comments because Branson took the lead on that one. Lol

To be fair to Kubota and JD on that video, it should be done with a 3515 instead of the bigger 3520. But after owning a Branson and knowing how they are made, I know for sure that the outcome would still be the same, with the Branson taking the lead.

It’s not being a fan boy or hating on anything. It’s simply a stupid comparison. You can compare pretty much anything and you would determine that the 50 percent bigger one is stronger. For that comparison to have meant anything besides a marketing gimmick they should have loaded each tractor to it’s rated capacity and then tested the stability. I’m guessing we’d have come to another useless conclusion with all 3 standing on their nose.

Tiny tractor at 2,700 pounds. My tractor weighs 200 pounds less. Moving round bales I can do if I keep the weight low. Not so sure it would be the kind of weight I would want to move all day long. I would not be surprised if I break something on the front axle someday. I wouldn't want the loader to do even more weight because the front end would not. I suspect the Kubota engineers are thinking the same thing and just set the pressure relief valve at a value that preserves the tractor instead of breaking it.

There are times that the relief valves are set to low. Then again I also have seen specs that tell me some loaders are rated for more then the front end of the tractor is designed for!! Buyer beware! Kubota builds both! Probably with many owners it might never be a problem but then for others it is.

"Hating"? Why, because they don't agree with you? According to Tractordata.com the Branson base weight is 4053 lbs, the Kubota 2778 lbs, and the John Deere 2175 lbs, so of course it handles the load better. It was an asinine video for two reasons anyways, as I pointed out in my previous post. Anytime somebody posts a "how big of a tractor should I get" question in the "buying" forums, the most common answer is that weight is more important than HP.

I looked at a 3038 before buying my Kubota; I walked over to it and just started laughing it was so tiny. I didn't look at Branson's due to previous experience with the dealer, both personally and from somebody who bought a Montana from him... then paid $1200 to get his 6 month old tractor back after shearing the front end bolts off.
That $1200 was over and above what the manufacturer paid for warranty work... the dealer made him pay the difference.

I meant in the comments of the video... Not in here.

Cmon guys, no need to get so sensitive if someone says something you don't like about Kubota. Jeez.

I also had a Kubota back in the day. It was an awesome machine and did everything I asked for and more. Just got too small. And when I went to buy the new tractor, neither the Kubota, NH or Kioti/Landini dealers care about my trade ins. Then I went to a small dealer that sells Case and Branson and got my tractor for 4 to 5k less than a Kubota or NH including lots of features that are optional on the other brands.

And read my post again... I said that the tractor they should have used to compare against the Kubota and the JD, is the Branson 3515. Which is the same size as the Kubota and JD. It's heavier yes, but because it's built heavy so it takes advantage over the competition there. The Branson 3520 is just a bigger tractor overall. Anyways, the outcome of that video with the 3515, would still be the same.

Again, no need to be so sensitive about this subject. I believe we are all having a friendly discussion.

I would loved to have test the Branson but nearest dealer is 2 1/2 hrs and the price didn't seem that far off to what I eventually bought. The closest dealers to me are JD, Kubota, and NH.

The one on the video above looked like about the same size as the much smaller Deere and Kubota tractors had. The Branson tractor weighs and lifts nearly double what the Deere in that video does but it certainly doesn’t have twice the bucket.
