I use miracle grow instead of leveling powder. You neophytes make me laugh. lol

We make you laugh????? Who you think you BSing by saying a 6x6 slab will morf into a 20x20 if sprinkled with a little Miracle Grow. Now can we get back on task for the sake of those thinking about pouring a slab to park their tractor on?

You all make me laugh, i've been using dehydrated concrete for years! Just add a little water and a little stirring and a little transporting and a little patting here and there....

The idea sounds good, in a general sense, but I wouldn't do it.
Grass dies, pouring on the ground will allows the moisture to settle in the ground and let the concrete to harden too fast and too hard.
I'm no Concrete Contractor, IMHO, wire or re-rod is the only way to go.

I'm not saying this method won't work but for long term success with concrete, "Do It Right The First Time" !

The type of grass you pour on makes for a big difference on how it performs when used for rebar. Tall stemmed grasses will outperform shorter types like Bluegrass. The tall white or yellow clovers ( five foot ) with their multi branched stems are the best for strengthening concrete especially if multi directional stresses must be covered.

I don't know if oak is stronger than bamboo, I have some here, but not bamboo. Do you think oak branches would work as the reinforcement? I'd even be willing to cut a tree down to use as the concrete reinforcement. Do you think I should go with larger logs since they are stronger than the grasses?

Bamboo would be terrific for lightweight concrete!
