Old Common, Day to Day Technology. Waht do you hang onto?

I never noticed this phenomenon until I began walking out of my shorts or pants or they would just fall down. The Wife pointed out this flat bottom problem and bought me several belts.

But a belt needs a but to hang onto. Flat bottom men got no but. :laughing:

Most things I do today are elastic waste band and draw string. If I wear a belt, it better be a wedding or a funeral.

Someplace I have one of those 4 way bars but don't know where, it wouldn't fit under the seat so I carry an 18" breaker bar, ectension and set of cheap impact sockets.
I can't remember when the last time was that I changed a tire but I used to also carry a speed wrench for taking those stupid plastic covers off which you have to unscrew to get at the lug nuts.

I put a floor jack and 2ft breaker bar in my wifes jeep so she can change a tire. She doesn't have enough booty with the original tire iron to break a lug nut loose. And those wind up jacks are horrible.

I carry my cordless impact, torque sticks, and sockets when I travel or haul one of my trailers. So much simpler to to squeeze a trigger to change a tire. :cool2::cool2:

I also have a wedge designed for tandem axle trailers in place of a jack. Slide the wedge under the good tire and ease forward till the tire is on the wedge. Then remove the blown tire, install the new one, then back off the wedge.

I've been a member of the American Legion for some 43 years and finally bought some clothes from Haband (they advertise in the Legion magazine) and they have been amazingly comfortable. The jeans turned out to be like sweatpants except are denim. Elastic waist with drawstring and no button. Seeing as my flat butt is close to the ground, they even come in 26-27" inseam.

Speaking of senior attire, for my money nothing beats Bib Overalls.
No midriff binding, no suspenders required, and lots of useful pockets to stash your hearing aid batteries, pill box, a half pint of schnapps, a pocket knife, and a red bandana. An accepted uniform at the local grocery, Co Op, lumber yard and tavern. They work really well for guys like me with too much gut and not enough butt. Bending, reaching, or tugging on a pipe wrench under the kitchen sink, no crack spackel required
