In the movie "The Revenant" the good guy shoots a bad guy with a flintlock pistol, then immediately jumps on a horse to get away and shoots again with the same pistol as he rides off.

Watched the ending of "The Sons of Katie Elder". John Wayne went into a small shop after the bad guy; he had a single action six shooter and NO GUN BELT, THEREFORE NO EXTRA AMMO. He fired 14 times without reloading. Hard to lose a gunfight with that kind of sidearm.

Yeah, great grandpa had some amazing weapons "back in the day".

Anyone that has a single action revolver know how long it takes to reload one too. It ain't real quick. Percussion model even longer. That is why Josey Wales carried extra cylinders! :shocked:

Yeah, I kinda noticed that.. Doesn't matter what service or what bands they may be on... They can all interwork and communicate.. It MAGIC !.

In reality, in the Market Garden fiasco operation of WW2. one problem was units of the British army could not communicate with each other, because their crystal controlled radio's had the wrong crystals in them. Whoops..
