In an action movie the guys with machine guns never hit anyone and the guy with the 6 shooter kills 7 people...!

Well, the machine guy probably shot 400 times out of a 30 round magazine.

And everyone always finds a parking space right in front of where they wanted to go, even in a large city.

Whenever that happens for me (front of the Post Office or grocery store) I call it "Hollywood Parking".

Vehicle windscreens are miraculously clean in a movie/TV (no dirt or bug smears) no matter where they've been driven, I'd love to know what those windscreens use to be in such pristine condition.

On TV no one ever stops at the door to put their shoes on or take them off.

Well, Spray and Pray is never a good plan. Submachine guns can provide suppression fire, but it takes some skill to actually hit with some of them. Big differences in the controllability. HK MP5, very good very controllable. Ingram MAC10 VERY bad.. I would rather have ANY of my pistols than one of those either for defense or offense. Well aimed shots by someone who can shoot are worth a magazine of spray and pray.

I have seen 13 rounds from an Colt 1873 model P (on a movie or two) No reloading. Its magic...

They say a good tactic is to drop the rear strap off the weapon to the ground and stand on it, keeping the muzzle down.

I was very disappointed in the first MAC 10 I shot.. I was NOT impressed. Now the HK, now that is another matter entirely. You can hit something with that. Either burst fire and even in full auto.

I guess it was meant as an affordable, entry level weapon for drivebys. Using the same readily available ammo you use in your nine.

In the movie "The Revenant" the good guy shoots a bad guy with a flintlock pistol, then immediately jumps on a horse to get away and shoots again with the same pistol as he rides off.
