BEL-NOR, Mo. (KMOV.com) Emergency crews are on the scene after a tractor overturned near a creek at a north St. Louis County golf course.

Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, first responders were called to the Normandie Golf Club in the 7600 block of St. Charles Rock Road.

Looks like some type of mower, couldn't tell if is was a zero turn or another large commercial grade mower.

What a shame...thoughts prayers to family.

Fear of a rollover with no ROPS on my old tractor is one of the reasons I got a new one. Prayers for the family. RIP

Looked like it...big wide tires in the back, caster wheels forward on the mower deck. I doubt the ROPS would have been much help since the mower was totally inverted...but the ROPS might have prevented the machine from rolling all the way over.
However, the ROPS was probably folded...

Looks like a Toro Groundsmaster 7200. With the angle of the mower, it looks like the rops were up. However the occupant was crushed / drowned. Atleast this is my arm chair jocky thoughts.

I always go with the policy rops up, seatbelt on. Rops down, seatbelt off.

I never even noticed the water. That would be a case where a seat belt may not be your friend and I don't wear one around water for sure, but rarely wear one on a tractor anyway.
