My favorite salt. Don't ask me what I use it for...?
I don't eat salt because it's healthy, I eat it because I like the flavor.
But, I can claim it's healthy because it's fat free and cholesterol free and , best of all, no trans fats.

I love sweet and salty stuff. The BEST of BOTH my vices in one! Love those Payday bars that we can't get here.

Well, that is just sad and wrong. I order mine by the box from Amazon.

I never use table or cooking salt. There is plenty of salt in all of our foods to begin with. You can't get away from it. I drink unsweetened iced tea too. :)

I fella I knew that worked with me would take McDonalds fries (which are drowned in salt when you buy them) and add salt from a "salt shaker" he kept at the shop. The "salt shaker" was the Morton salt big blue round box. And he added a lot. It used to gross me out even way back then. He always drank two Dr. Pepper cans at lunch too. Then smoked a few cigarettes after lunch. He is not around any more. He was my age. I haven't used a salt shaker in decades now. I have been off of sugar since mid April.

Why then, can't they just take all the SALT OUT, and I can put my little bit, back on again? I can't taste theirs anyway.

IT, are you closer to London :) or Kingston? :( A load of PayDays could finally be my excuse to visit. ;)

If I brought camping gear I could say it's all trail snacks and shouldn't have to declare a mere few cases I brought as a gift. :confused3:

Not so sure about the salt I crave, but pepper is food.

You can order non salted fries from McDonalds if you are willing to wait on them. They taste good WITHOUT salt. If you quit adding salt to food, it starts to taste good again. Your taste buds will recover after being burned out with salt. Only problem with fries is that they are chock full of carbohydrates.

If you don't believe me stop using salt totally for about a month and see if your taste buds don't recover, and you will develop a taste for unsalted foods. Same for iced tea. Stop drinking tea flavored sugar syrup for a while and you will start enjoying the delicate taste of actual iced tea. It is so common in these regions (the south) to put as much sugar in your tea as will stay in solution. And then some.

I didnt use to salt anything, but lately I find myself salt and peppering my scrambled eggs. Heavy on the pepper, light on the salt tho

Salt, water, air (among many other things) = Goldilocks Syndrome. Too much is bad, too little is bad. Gotta be just the right amount for us to exist.

The bacon or the sausage have more than enough salt in them to flavor breakfast. It is all in what you get used to.
