When the younger of my 2 brothers was a pre-teenager, he used to put ketchup on nearly everything. One day someone said something about him putting ketchup on everything but ice cream, and his eyes lit up and he said he'd bet that would be good. So he got a bowl of ice cream, poured a liberal dose of ketchup on it and tried it. I KNOW he didn't like that, but he sat there and ate every bite of it because he was afraid of what Dad would do to him for wasting food. But he never tried it again.:laughing:

Ketchup on hashbrowns is a staple for me. I will have to try grape jelly on pork sausage, sounds good :thumbsup: But I am not about to adulterate my Gravenstein apple pie with cheese. . For those that are unfamiliar with Gravenstein apples,,, well you are unfamiliar . This is the apple state and I have trees planted in 1860 that I covet. Maybe drool over is a better term :thumbsup:

Ketchup on hashbrowns is a staple for me. I will have to try grape jelly on pork sausage, sounds good :thumbsup: But I am not about to adulterate my Gravenstein apple pie with cheese. . White American melted over apple pie is actually quite a treat... And I am not one to put weird things on other foods.

I have given up on Apple's and every other fruit from the grocery stores. Bleh! Taste is nonexistent. The Fruit and Veggie Man brings fresh stuff up from Cali several times a summer as it comes in to season. 4 days travel time beats anything in the stores. I would love tasting an heirloom apple with flavor. Lucky Man.

Home grown lettuce actually has flavour, the power of horse sh## of which we have an abundance.
And, finally after 16 years our lime tree is bearing fruit and the branches are almost breaking, much prefer them to lemon.

Gotta get good NY apples (Gala, Johnagold, Empire, Crispin, Evercrisp, etc), not Washington State flavorless apples.
