Here is the parts manual. It's for the 3510 and 4720. So it should be more or less the same for your 2910i. Although, if you need to order stuff, I would confirm with Yourequipmentparts as they have the correct parts manual for your tractor.

The suction screen or strainer as they call it in the manual is located in the page 88 with the number 25. Looks like you can remove it from the right side of the tractor without to much hassle. Keep is mind it will pour all the hydraulic oil out, so you might want to drain the oil first.

Brother came over and removed hydraulic pump 13CC-L for 3 point. It has teeth wear, looks burnt, has 15 teeth also looks bent, but I think that is due to some of splines being wore down. Question can it be replaced with one easier to buy and cheaper and can parts be bought to rebuild pump. Brother seems to think better off to buy new, I agree with him. I probably will bite the bullet and spend the $475 to buy new pump, just seems there should be lower priced pump that will interchange. Anyone know?

Took gear pump off 2910i Branson it is 13cc-l , by the way thanks to Sid痴 Trading in Mississippi, reasonable price and fast delivery. Installed gear pump, decided to remove loader for easy of installing pump. Replaced hydraulic oil, filter and cleaned screen filter. Tractor hydraulics did great, the 3 point was great . I was so happy. Then I put loader back on tractor with the diverter for grapple thumb, now the bucket started shuddering , 3 point lift shudders, and when I used joy stick to roll bucket, the thumb moved instead. I removed diverter and now joy stick moves bucket like it should, but the shuddering has not stopped, I am about 99% it is not sucking air. I am of opinion joy control valve is broken. I have ordered a 2 spool open center 11 gpm I hope this works since pump is 13 cc. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you,

The joy stick doesn稚 have a rubber boot , I bought this way, also didn稚 have plug for hydraulic filler in back, it does now. Still doesn稚 have rubber boot for joy stick, new one will have. I致e never taken a hydraulic controller valve apart, thinking about taking this one apart, I can稚 break it if it痴 already broke, right?

Well it is August 14,2019, good news second cataract was done yesterday, and went well. Bad news tractor hydraulics still not working on Branson 2910i, so far have replaced gear pump with new OEM ,and have had control valve rebuilt that controls loader, I removed diverter for third function thumb that I had on loader bucket. Loader will not lift, curl,or dump,3 point will not hold a load with loader connected. Have retraced all hydraulic hoses to insure I have high side going to power side of joy stick controller, tank to tank and power beyond port to return. But I hear a squell , could this be something obstructing oil flow? Thanks.

I took control valve to machine shop, that also does great hydraulic work. They rebuilt control valve. I explained that hydraulics quit on loader in March, the power steering was ok ,and still is fine, but 3 point wouldn't respond. I bought new OEM gear pump, installed pump and 3 point worked fine, I then reconnected loader with diverter (diverter to operate thumb I added to bucket) diverter was installed on the curl port of control valve. I went to raise boom and thumb raised instead without diverter being engaged ,I removed thumb and diverter,(kept power beyond hose connected),the boom would not raise or lower, curl or dump, and 3 point I can push down by hand. So I am back to original problem. I bought a new 2 spool 11gpm open center with float and power beyond directional control valve, and at first it lifted boom with heavy shuddering 2 times and curl worked, but there was and is squealing, now it is back to no hydraulics for boom, bucket or 3 point(it will rise with shuddering, but won't hold).Meanwhile I had original control valve rebuilt, still no luck. Machine says maybe cyclinders leaking internally, but would still be able to use. Anyone know why the squealing?
Thank You

Squealing could be the relief valve.

How was the system plumbed when new pump was installed and the loader was not on the tractor?

Does the loader valve stay on the tractor or is it removed with the loader?

You mentioned diverter valve for thumb. How is it connected to the loader valve?

I am wondering if you possibly have a hose or two crossed on the loader & or diverter causing the problem.

. Loader valve stayed on tractor. The 4 hoses (raise, lower, curl, and dump) were disconnected. Diverter was left on , but disconnected from 12 v power source. When I put loader back on and tried to raise boom, thumb raised instead. Which was crazy, because nothing had changed, all I did was plug power back to diverter. The thumb was powered through the curl on control valve. After trying several times to raise and getting thumb instead, I decided to remove diverter and just put loader back, I kept power beyond hose on control valve, should I plug it and hose? I know from drivers seat hoses should be boom up and boom down. Right side, left side curl and dump. When I get over this eye surgery I am going to put diverter back on and see what happens. I thought I must have hoses crossed but I don稚 know how or where. I will post pictures tomorrow. Thank you

sally,
Forgive me for the questions but some things in your response on the diverter plumbing do not make sense to me.

If diverter is operated by the curl dump it should be plumbed in the two hoses going to the curl dump circuit.

Since I am not familiar with the plumbing on your tractor I am going to mention connections based on typical system of loader valve being first valve from pump

Pressure hose from pump to pressure port of loader valve.

Tank port of loader valve directly to tank.

Power beyond port of loader valve to rear control valves if you have them or to three point hitch.

With just these hoses connected does the 3 point work? Is the squealing gone?

If yes then connect the two lift lower hoses and try that function

By doing one step at a time you can hopefully isolate which step causes a problem

Good luck
