United Way At Walmart Today Looking For Donations.

Funny the CEO of the local United Way brings in around 270K per year. He always wants people to donate and volunteer for united way.
reason I don't give is, I can't fund his lifestyle

I heard the CEO of united way made 200k/year, 30 years ago, at my 40k/year that really took the fun out of giving money to them and then the constant solicitations, I finally said nah go see Bill Gates............

Kills me with our public funded healthcare system. They are always having fund raising drives to buy some piece of equipment. Like we don't pay enough taxes to be wasted on healthcare. Take it out of the execs salary. Those hospital workers have no idea what work is. You could fire them and hire half as many back who can work and move quickly and efficiently, then you could buy your machines too.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned how well the Clinton foundation works. They could park a school bus in front of walmart and take in millions.

I though the same thing when mt wife's nephew marched off to some far away African village to teack them how to grow plants for food. I though WTH, this Americore things has been teaching Africans to to grow plants for food sinc ethe 60's. Seriously people if they don't know how to grow food by now - NOTHING WILL HELP.

Secondly why are all the African villages in the middle of nowhere with no water. Put these people on trucks / busses and move them CLOSER to the water supply. IS IT ME?

Why do we keep throwing BILLIONS of dollars at the same problems? There is no need for these people to be in far away villages with no food and water while we spend MILLIONS feeding them. Get on a BUS, helicopter, bush planet and come CLOSER. This isnt rocket science.

We Americans do this all over the world - WHY. We can solve the problem by moving these people.

And yes why keep havibng a dozen kids when you have no food and water for yourself? Hellllloooooo people wake up, keep your legs crossed.

I spent about a month in Africa and talked to the local blacks, the local whites, and in all economic classes, and some of the missionaries. My opinion of the situation over there changed somewhat as a result of that. My opinion now is that helping them materially is useless. If they are going to advance, their culture will have to change. Their opinion seems to be along the line of: why should I do anything different, I have all i need. As for kids, they are the parents retirement plan - kids are expected to take care of their parents when they get old, so the more kids the better their retirement will be.
