Wife up near bristal TN / VA right now. 400 more miles to go.

Been through Bristol so many times I lost count; just 1000 miles from home to Bristol, then only 100 more miles to my wife's family in Princeton, WV.

HA... Been through Princeton many times. We are only about an hour and half from there... Was in Marion, VA yesterday; not too far from Princeton.

If I remember right, way back yonder, we used to stop at a place in Marion and buy a few cartons of cigarettes; cheapest cigarettes between Dallas and Princeton. But that place closed up more than 45 years ago.

Found another shear bolt, but don’t want to make special trip to town for more, going tomorrow anyway. Also adjusted the slip clutch which likely wasn’t slipping. DUH

Also driven thru Bristol numerous times, something of a way point to measure progress.

Booboo looks big. Time to put up an early warning system of some kind, maybe a driveway motion sensor to set off an alarm.

He could be part of our home security.

Good evening all. 80F for the start, light wind clear sky. Sky stayed mostly clear, wind got brick with some real gusts, and high temp was 98F HI 108. Chapel to start day, then make wife's breakfast, then to energy conservation, and rehydration mode.went to dinner for stepdaughter's boy friend birthday.
David nice find, and even nicer that it wasn't the hard way!
Thomas careful around BooBoo!
RNG sorry you missed flight opportunity.

Wife and crew made it home from AR a little bit ago. Several backups on I81. Oldest son, my sister and her husband made up the driving crew. They came from cookeville TN today.

I fell asleep watching the little league classic. Now I'm wide awake at bed time.

I miss Edofalltrades being on here. Only TBNer I've meet. Hope you are doing well Ed. I think i have his number.

I went outside some today, was hot 91°. Had a big storm over baltimore today, but east of here. Storms approaching now.

Time for a snack.

Prayers for Betty and Ron. You are in my thoughts.

Checking In from Piseco Lake in the Adirondacks as a loon calls from the lake:

Our trip went w/o incident other than my discovery at 7:30AM this morning that the Tundra's battery was fully discharged. Apparently I forgot that I had the key toggled to accessory when re-cleaning the Tundra after Brogen's trip to the doggie gulag. :embarrassed:

BEF- I am happy that you continue to progress and there is a focus on discharge home. You are lucky to have such a neighbor friend to support your return home. Your Dad at 95 and still going strong is pretty amazing. I am glad he is tougher than a hive of angry yellow jackets and had no apparent (self-reported) ill effects from the stings. Good luck tryin to rein him in. I wish your Wife safe travels.

Kyle- Thanks for the + thoughts. There is no cellphone coverage here, but the WIFI is better here than when home.

Drew- I am happy that your dinner turned out well.

David- I am happy that you found the missing link.

Wngsprd- I am glad that you find that weather site useful. I am still looking for a site that gives a more localized graphic of similar data.

Thomas- That’s a nice sized bear. Thanks for sharing its picture. FWIW- A black bear can run 35mph for short spurts. I saw a birdseed stealing bear on its hind legs go from 0 to full speed in a heartbeat with Brogen on its tail. It managed to outrun Brogen until it climbed a tree in the woods. Brogen was one stupid, but lucky dog. He might not be so lucky in the future.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all especially those medically and physically challenged.

Good evening.

Our ranch guests, since Wednesday, left after breakfast this morning. My wife and granddaughter headed back to Richmond House after lunch.

I'm enjoying the peace and quiet, on the east porch, with an excellent cigar and an adult beverage, after 5 days of hosting duties. Now.... to catch up on Good Morning.

Our 16 year old granddaughter asked if she could drive the Corvette so, she and I took a nice ride in it, this morning after the rest of our guests left. Madison is a very safe driver and we had a nice hour drive and some great bonding. She'll be a senior this year, is our youngest granddaughter, and asked if she could drive the Corvette on her last day of high school in Richmond. My answer was ..... ?

With hosting duties, I didn't get much done the last five days but it was great getting a few days ....... out of the heat.

Hope everyone had a great weekend?

Prayers to all.
