I aquired a Howse HD10 bush hog that had a busted gear box on the right side. I found a dealer that bought all Howse stock when they closed. Anyway when I put the stump jumper back on I made sure the left side blades were north to south and the right set east to west. I also made sure they sets were not mixed up like it was when I got it. It mows real good but makes my tractor wobble a tad. It could be the nature of the beast. Not bad , but I know its running.

I will say that with my LP RCR2596, I get a noticeable wobble unless I am at 540

Blaszer, any way you could look under your bh and check the orientation of the blades ?

Little General:
you might consider a new blade set. sharpen existing & keep as back up. you'll need replacements @ some pt anyway. new ones might run smoother & more balanced.

My 8 foot twin are orientated the way you have yours. I would agree it sounds as if you have a blade balance issue.

I was going to post the same thing these guys did ^^^^^ sounds like a blade issue, that they are not balanced. You have them correct orientation. The only other think (doubtful) is a blade is hungup and not swinging out, this usually happens if the blade pin/bolt get fouled with mowing debrie, so doubtful.

Yep, you have your blades right.
I would try swapping blades like other people have said. Let me know!

It痴 not that bad , kind of like a tire out of balance on your truck.

So , today I took all the blades off the HD10 aand weighed them. All but one weighed 11.5 pounds. One was 2 ounces below , so I welded a flat piece of plate on the blade to get it to weigh the same. I also switched which sides of the stump jumper each blade was on. After I cool off in the shop I'm going back to the field to see if that helped.

Did it work?
