Just purchased a new NX5010 (yes it's me again). I noticed this issue when I first got it (two weeks ago) and I informed the dealer back then. But the issue was not really addressed. When I was mowing a longer field, at about 3/4 to 7/8 depressing on the forward HST pedal the tractor will surge and lunge faster and slower, I called my dealer and he came out within a half hour to witness it. It is now back in the shop. I hope to post a solution to the issue in the near future.

1) Check the trans-hydro fluid level.
2) Confirm correct trans-hydro fluid was installed by asking what kind of fluid does the dealer use?
3) Confirm tractor is somewhere in the operating temperature. When cold, you can have surging after starting up but that goes away quickly.
4) If surging while warm you have a problem. Bring that problem to your dealer's attention.

I VERY SELDOM use the foot throttle pedal on my Kubota M6040. It's a hydraulic shuttle model. It's not the tractor - it's me. I have a difficult time holding my foot steady as I'm bouncing along. AND it's progressive. The more I bounce, the more my foot bounces on the foot throttle. My bouncing on the foot throttle exaggerates the tractor bounce.
I use the hand throttle lever and will momentarily tap the foot throttle for momentary speed increase.

You have a treble pedal in the L60, we have separate forward and reverse pedals which are easier to use.

He’s not even talking about a L60, and it’s not a hydro it’s a shuttle. He’s talking about using his foot throttle.

Anyhow - to the OP. It could be as simple as - your foot throttle is too loose and "springy". Suggestion - the dealer will get the foot throttle fixed, whatever it is. Use the hand throttle and get your big foot off the foot throttle.
Your NX5010 has a synchro shuttle transmission and is responding to the slightest movement of your foot on the foot throttle.

Original poster has a hydrostatic transmission, on the NX it has two individual peddles one for forward and one for reverse and No foot throttle. The shuttle shift transmissions have foot throttles.

One of several possibilities, but I suspect either a TCM programming or a bad potentiometer. The most likely is TCM programming. Mine did that to me as well, both forward and reverse. Dealer came out and updated the TCM, and all was well. The update is available from Kioti corporate and should only take about an hour to install once provided.
