Digging my hole deeper? You must have delusions of grandeur. You're the one digging a hole by saying a spped control has nothing to do with smoothness. That's literally what it's for, to allow your heavy implements to drop down slowly and smoothly if desired. Do you know anything at all about hydraulics? There are flow controls, there are no "smoothness" controls. Flow controls are what control the rate or speed and thus the smoothness of the motion. You're welcome.

About that pump capacity, does that include power steering also? Or is that separate? Do you know?

Hydraulic flow specs for kioti are hard to find or not published at all. I couldn't find them when I was searching for a tractor. Look at my matrix, any of them, in this thread:

The hyd flow is blank, so I couldn't effectively compare kioti with other brands on this point.

See if he can get you those numbers, since he's bragging on them.

On the Kioti website I simply went to the model I wanted to look at , clicked (download brochure) for that model , and the hydraulic flow is there.

I noticed the cycle times on my loader are a lot faster than on that NX series. And even though the NX series pump flow rates are slightly more, the cylinders on the NX are quite a bit larger therefor the lift/curl ability is much greater than my DK35se. Of course the cylinders being larger means it takes longer to fill them up for a given flow rate. My loader is extremely fast. I can scoop and lift a load, mighty quick. Just not as much of it as that NX. I noticed a difference between my DK35se and the DK40se's I have messed with and for the same reason, that bigger cylinders are going to just be slower unless you really scale up the pump. My tractor will take the same loader as fits on the DK40se, the KL401, but I have never seen anything but a KL351 on a DK35se. The manual does show the larger loader as an option.

The early Kioti tractors were actually Kubota tractors. Kioti bought the obsolete tooling and fixtures from Kubota and started churning out tractors that were actually older discontinued Kubota's Of course then Kubota sued Kioti for Trade Dress Infringement (just like Fiat Chrysler is suing Mahindra over the Roxor) but in Kubota's case, they won and Kioti had to settle for an undisclosed sum.

When that happened, Kubota changed their shade of orange from the original Orange 1 to the present Orange 2. Kioti's are still painted in the original Orange 1 so I suspect that to was part of the trade Dress settlement as well.

They both fade to Mary Kay pink after a while anyway.....:laughing:

I was curious upon reading this as well. So, far after a little searching, this is all I've been able to find. While the announcement of the settlement (second link) does give some credence to the original story (first link), there is still very little concrete evidence to go on.

The first link says an agreement was reached in 2007, while the second link announces it was in 2004. The second link also seems to imply Kubota is stating they never shared any manufacturing etc., although that may just be from a legal standpoint. Who knows what the real story is.

So in simple terms he is spreading a rumor as if it’s fact?

Dude... come on. This is a help forum, not your mechanic's garage. No charge means the advice is worth what you pay for it. James is a good guy with a ton of knowledge that he is gracious enough to share with the rest of us, and thankfully so. You are out of line.

How am I out of line? I was merely standing up to a grandstander. The post I responded to was full of wrong information and condescendingly so. He got put in his place as far as I'm concerned. He need not talk like that to anyone, and if you recall, this whole thing got started when some jack@ss called another poster brainrot. I think your post addressing me is misplaced.
