Gate openers are not that expensive. Under $500 for good ones usually. Mine is the low end Mighty Mule and was under $300, plus the gate and other items. I use a lawn and garden battery to power it. My low voltage yard lights are connected to the opener's internal charging system to charge the battery, but they also offer a solar charger option.
A farm style gate is $100 or less and all of this can be installed by the owner in a day. Fancier gates can be used if the owner wishes.
Rolling gates and raising arm gates are considerably more expensive and involved to install.
We can't tell from the picture how far the house is into the property from the road and fence or how the house is oriented. Headlights shining into windows at night would be highly annoying to me as would the noise of engines and tires on gravel if the house was close enough.
Cables, chains, ropes and so on would not be options for me, nor would anything else that required stopping and exiting the vehicle. Hey, I'm lazy.
