How to stop cars from turning around in my driveway

I am considering a remote control gate I can operate from the house. Once they enter, I close the gate and contain them inside my property. Then call the authorities and have them charged for trespassing. I locked a local in one time when they trespassed to gather mushrooms. I told her not to do it again, word got out and no more problems. But I now have occasional problems with off road vehicles and snowmobiles.

Don't try intentionally locking someone in, they can press charges for false imprisonment and it will probably end poorly for you.

That doesn't apply if you "accidently" close the gate.

If you have a well made, open, clear entrance when such are scarce in the country, people will always use your driveway to turn around. Even the Grader!

A pain, when you employ a distant early warning system!

I think a person has to be careful and realistic on picking the fights in their lives. Someone turning around in your drive may seem quite important at the time but may seem trivial later in life. Once you deal with a monumental issue like reoccurring cancer of a family member, other issues seam to dwindle in importance. Life is too short to fight EVERY fight. Conserve some energy for the big ones that are coming down the path.:2cents:
