Well you don't have to rack the lever back and forth to load, just to shoot.. at least with my Marlin.. just slide them in the port on the side till its full.
I also use the port on the side for unloading, simply push it in until the shell slides out.

I have been here a while and this is the heaviest wood I have ever processed. Dark color, smells kind of weird and gets into your sinuses. The heviest rounds at the trunk I could not even think about lifting and had to move them with a grapple.

It's hard to tell, but it almost looks like apple wood.

I cut a lot of apple, and this is heavier. And BIGGER. The trunk must be 30" or so. Cherry? I don't know my wood. Mostly Elm (dead) for firewood here.

I was waffling on that myself. What little bark there is looks right, but apple isn't really a heavy wood.

The Cherry I've cut up all had a reddish color. Maybe Walnut? Or a type of Oak.
It didn't look like oak to me, from the picture it doesn't appear to have the obvious pores which oak and ash have. I hadn't thought of walnut, we don't see that up here unless somebody planted it. Pictures of "walnut firewood" on Google appear very much like what IT has though, so you may be the winner!

That last picture suggests things are "gonna get dusty" ;-)

Yest your right I failed to mention I vacuumed the radiator to then some compressed air. It's a wonder the tractor wasn't running a little warm.
