Do it!!!
My favorite rifle suppressed is a 10/22 takedown...but a Ruger American bolt action is a ball too.
And, if you decide you need a pistol too...go for a Ruger Mark IV Lite or Tactical

One thing always leads to another Roy and that's a great suggestion.

Gun violence never was a gun problem. It's always been a violence problem.

I'm sure assault and murder predate projectile weaponry. Clubs, spears, and arrows were classic assault weapons before firearms were dreamed of.

Common modern assault weapons include motor vehicles, IEDs, and kitchenware, and quite a few others if you look elsewhere than the US.

David defended himself pretty well with a rock and slingshot. Yeah, he did finish Goliath off with his own sword, but Hey that is just good tactical doctrine.

I would like a Noice Suppressor, a thing I used to call a Silenter... LoL, on my AR15, 20" Barrel, are there good and bed ones ?
What are the brands I should look for to get my money's worth ?

Thanks

As has often been said about the 1st Amendment, speech we find offensive and often unpopular is why it exists; popular speech doesnt need it. Yes I often disagree with "art" movies and many speakers, but fully support the right,

Same goes for the 2nd, if we only had them for sporting clays or competition, no one would be excited. Even legitimated hunting is often attacked.

The guns or type so vilified now have been available in the civilian market since the late 40s, the AR was available in the 60s and yet mass shootings is relatively new in comparison to the time citizens have had access. It is overly simplistic to blame the technology and think laws making them less accessible will change things though it seem at least one or more on this tread seem to think otherwise.

I truly believe the members of the Greatest Generation would be saddened to see so many willing and some eager to give up some freedom they fought and died far and it goes beyond the second amendment.

I'm too old and too averse to killing another American to fight a war, but I will never surrender any of my weapons.

Stop making sense.

As an avid gun owner, who owns more AR/AK/pistols than any Dem would like to know about... I do know that any high powered, high capacity, fast acting action weapon does in fact enhance the lethality of those sick individuals who desire to take life in anger or to further a cause.

So because of that, I also see the frustration... If the weapons are out there and available then both the good and the bad will get them. You can't really preemptively know that a nut job is a gun owner and going to be an active nut job in 11 days at noon. You find out in 11 days at around 12:15.

So what's a person to do? Take the 'Murica stance and hope to arrive us all so that the good beat out the bad?
Or, take the Australian way about it? Remove pretty much all of them so that almost no one has them?

I give up.

I want my guns, but I do not want bad people with evil intent to have them. I'm not sure how to get this solved amicably....
