Tats, piercing & vaping. I've got a few Harley tats - I ran a Hawthorn spike into my hand yesterday - I still have no urge for vaping. A double shot of JD over chipped ice sure eased the pain from the Hawthorn spike though. I gave up smoking in '66. The price of a pack went up to 55 cents in the vending machines.

It's amazing how getting hurt and taking backpills with a JD or similar chaser go so good together. Like a warm and fuzzy reward for getting hurt. lol Those Hawthorne spikes are poisenous and can make your tissue swell up nicely.

I saw a very attractive young lady walking into Walmart while I was leaving. She was vaping. I found that to be even LESS attractive than if she was smoking a cigarette. Vaping seems even trashier to me. The only thing unattractive about a woman smoking cigarettes is how wrinkly they end up.

A fella at work vapes and he coughs and hacks worse than I've ever heard. He needs in on the law suite. Maybe then he can leave here!

We laugh at him. Mostly because theres no telling what's in that juice in addition to the antifreeze.

I know and cosmetics too. Still not a good idea to heat it up as steam and suck it in. There is just no reason to ever do anything like that. The risks are not known and there are NO upsides to vaping or smoking. NONE

Long ago I found that Tylenol washed down with JD would ease the butt pain and I could finish the ride on the Harley. Rational thought convinced me that this was not the best thing to do. Like smoking - I gave this up long ago also. Hawthorn spikes are poisonous, huh. That must be why it hasn't healed over quite yet. That spike went right thru my leather glove. And I thought they were pretty heavy duty too.

Earlier in the year I was working with another person several days a week who vapes. He vaped near me, but in a fairly large room, probably 800 or so square feet. I started coughing every evening and it carried through to even after I got home at night. My wife thought I may have COPD it was so bad. I surmised (correctly) that the vape smoke was the culprit, so I asked him to go into the bathroom and close the door when he had to vape (there is an exhaust fan inside) and my coughing stopped. Goes to prove, to me, that even second-hand vape smoke is horrible for you.

Even if you "vape' just some flavor juice without ANY nicotine, and NO THC, you are still sucking in Propylene Glycol. Yes the liquid uses anti-freeze as the base. RV antifreeze. "Oh, let's break down that chemical with some heat and suck that into our precious lungs". Yep that seems like a really good idea.

What Are you worried about, its the perfect food. If its ok to eat it in in your perma-soft cakes and drink the stuff and put drops of it in your dry eyes then obviously its safest enough to vaporize and inhale it into your lungs. Part of a well balanced North American processed food diet. Eat too much and it becomes ex-lax. Perfect.

My Mom never smoked much, only at parties and such when I was around five. I remember she used to use a cigarette holder. Reminds me of the vaping instruments.

She used to let us take puffs. Good to get the kiddies hooked early, because back then, cigarettes were still good for you, the doctors said so.

There was a comment about Propylene Glycol. Inhaling something into your lungs is kinda like shooting it in your veins. When you ingest it in your stomach, acid plays a big role in degradation. When you inhale it or inject it...the stomach is completely bypassed. It would be like saying eating a cigarette does the same thing as smoking one. It doesnt. The lung tissue is much more fragile and provides a directly link to the critical organs in the body. You should not knowingly and chronically inhale ANYTHING into your lungs except air.

And good clean air at that. We all have to suck in things we don't need, like dirt, pollen, some smoke and combustion gasses around us, but it should not be by choice!.

It truly amazes me that people will defend smoking and vaping. When if they will look in the mirror and try to explain to themselves the upsides to this activity, they will be totally amazed at the fool looking back at them. On its face, smoking is absurd. Only because we have done it for centuries do we as a society accept it. Suppose you came from a society that no one ever poisoned themselves by inhaling hazardous substances? And you saw someone smoke or vape for the first time. What would you think? Is this person insane? Are they trying to harm themselves? Why would they do that? The dismay of this outsider would be evident.

You and I are in 100% agreement here. Yes, perfectly legal and should remain so. I don't know what to do about the lifestyle choices people make. Some of my relatives smoke. ironically those same people made a life as medical personal. it boggles the mind. Knowing all that we now know about addiction and health benefits, yet we still have people on here quoting anomalies of people that have lived long lives and smoked. I guess they like to "shoot craps" with their own health. And I am fine with that, but I sure hate that their idiotic behavior gets into my pocket book. But pay we do, and that is not likely to change.
