I have a Harbor freight 8700 watt gen out in one of my outbuildings for back up, I've got the outbuilding wired to the house so all I have to do is plug it into an outlet out there and start it up, pretty simple really. (and turn off the main breaker o the house as to not electrocute the power guys working on the lines)

Yeah, califiornia has just gotten too stupid for their own good!

I keep mine in the basement with a battery tender, when I start it I just pull it outside and let it idle while I go to the power pole and shut main power off then I walk back to generator and plug It in then walk back to the pole and push the switch down for gen power, was not a big thing when I was younger and healthy but now being disabled it’s a bit of a challenge.

I have the exhaust on mine vented through the wall so it stays inside while its running. If we have a big storm coming and I think we might lose power, I just plug it in in advance, and turn off that particular breaker.. If I end up needing it I just have to hit the start button, flip that breaker and I'm good to go.

So, Dragoneggs did you buy your wife the pink tractor?
Seat time for me around here: 8175.jpeg8177.jpeg
I am testing out the new Mahindra some more, and moving some more of my gravel around. I covered the floor of the pole barn the other day, put a new layer out front of my storage building.
I hooked up the 3 point blade I have used for many years behind the Ferguson, a bit of added counterweight, and helpful in leveling the gravel.
The Ranger in the background has been earning her keep, hauled off brush for a friend on Friday, hauled some for our elder son Saturday and Sunday (after church service).
I have had the burn pile going a lot!

Wow that sounds like 1500 ft, what you got that shoots that far, Sharps? I'm lucky if I have 150 ft to shoot in, to many hills and tree obstructions.

I used to shoot 4" steel plates at 250 yards with a handgun.. I'm just setting up a 300 and new 100 yard range..
