I agree, nice gen. My sister is trying to get a Generac 22kw put in her house in Muir Beach, and she keeps getting $20k estimates.
She has had one before, paid 10k to get one installed in Princeton NJ. Mine was a thousand less across the river in PA.
I have the same gen now on my house here. So we know the pricing and I guess it's just a Gold Rush for electricians in California now.
They have so many requests for gens now they manage their business, and apparently make a ton of money, by gouging the heck out of folks
who don't know better. Electrical reality in California is not good.
Lou, my Ram with the hemi and the eco rear is rated for only 7800 pounds but it pulled my 7000 pound travel trailer super easily. Clearly that
truck/motor has a lot more capability if set up right, but I've got air bag suspension and maybe that impacts on the capacity choices.
Today I think the truck is rated in the 12-13k range if set up right. Personally if I was pulling more than five ton I'd get a bigger truck.
You were at five tons so just a traction issue. Sure does sound nice when winding out under load doesn't it?

Thank goodness for tractors!
