Hey don't forget about those girls that weren't lookers and were late bloomers! There were a few that we ignored... but 15 - 20 years later at a reunion reading their name tag, caused us to say... really, wow... did you used to wear glasses?

I can remember two in particular like that. They didn't look very flashy as teenagers, but wow, when we met again and they were about 40.. Whoo hoo.. they looked good..

And if you sit back and do nothing that is what will happen.

It's not a question of sitting back and doing nothing IMO, it's a question as to how society changes over times due to various stimuli affecting social growth. All one has to do is look at the differences between gun control per the color of your skin in the United States of America to see this is the case.

I always get a chuckle out of these "engineer hate rants" that pop up in places like this and especially on Welding Web. Yep, all engineers are idiots. ...Says all the people typing on their computers invented and designed by engineers, after they got off their tractors designed by engineers, or maybe just flew on a plane designed by engineers, to which they drove their car, designed by engineers on roads designed by engineers. And of course, this doesn't even scratch the surface. But they are all idiots and don't know how to do anything practical. Whatever works for ya!

Well that certainly explains why Kubota thought it was a great idea to put the PTO lever on my 3301 on the floor board between my legs... Guess that near the fender well where it is accessible was "stupid"...

For some reason, the very bad engineers I've ever come across in my life refuse to understand why THEY could not be wrong because the person informing them they could be wrong does not have an engineering degree like they have.

Been on a jobsite with an issue an engineer specified (per equipment selection). His (the engineers) words were "I thought you knew because I only speciffied that this should be used, but I've never seen the equipment in person and have no clue how it works".

Years earlier, after I moved from NY, I had to look for equipment for a commercial job. Was specified Carrier. Could NOT find that equipment. I happen to play raquetball with a bunch of engineers from Carrier when I lived in Syracuse. Called a guy I played with about the equipment called on for the job (after exhausting numerous calls to no avail). Turns out the equipment was "make believe" per what Carrier was looking at doing in the future (did not exist), but the engineer who read the article thought the equipment existed and that's what he wanted for the job. Go figure.

Yes and I have come across probably thousands of things on equipment over the years that made no sense at all...

Thread drift is rampant, it happens, get over it.... I opened the thread and don't really care where it goes.. It's conversation, that's all it is..

Here, Let me do a search on the topic of your recent discussion on the shape of girls and the worthlessness of engineers.

Did I say WORTHLESS?
