You're right. It's the individual that counts.

It took me a long time to get right on this knowing that you can compile data that say: "This group ("those people") have these statistics (be it crime (or incarceration), income, single parent households, whatever, etc..)". And it's tempting to say: "See, those are just the plain hard cold facts."

But its the dividing up of people, and grouping them that is arbitrary (and sometime racist). You can group people 500 different ways and end up with cold hard facts that you can then point to and go "See! "Those people...!" You can divide people by location, neighborhood, race, education, income, left handed or right handed, religion, drive Fords or Chevys, anything you can think of, and you will get hard data, and likely trends. I think this leads to prejudices.

It's the dividing of people and grouping them by some arbitrary "this or that" that is.....uhm...divisive!

When you see those statistics, ask yourself, why did they divide them by "this" and not by "that"?

Saw a Doc on fake news last night. Some charts are even put upside down, so the results look the exact opposite to what you would think. Who freezes the picture and examines the scale?

I wonder how the Civilian Police pulled that off, because neither Civilian Police, nor a Sheriff have jurisdiction on Military reservations. as far as the potential, or actual trespassing on the Military reservation goes. it's the job of the Military Police, who can only eject you if you are not a military member..

What is really interesting is you would not get arrested for pulling it out in public in most large city's. You would around here, and apparently you will outside the gates of Area 51
