Kubota L3560HSTC LE, John Deere 950
I have been trying to buy a Kubota L3560HSTC but my closest dealer has not been able to get me one. They told me today it is still 2 months out. While I had looked a bit at the Kioti before deciding to pursue the other orange tractor this delay has caused me to go back and look harder. I am looking at the NX4510 as the cab on it fits me better than the DK series. I can buy the NX for about the same money at the Kubota but it is 500 lbs heavier, 8 additional hp gross, 5.9 hp additional on the PTO and 1,00 lbs more lift on the loader. Just have a couple of question that have come up while researching this. The dealer did not have an NX in stock for me to test drive but I did sit in one a customer had in for service. He checked and they had one at distribution which is pretty close to him. The Kioti dealer is 2 hours from me and the Kubota dealer is about 10 minutes.

Some on here in older post have talked about a delay when going from forward to reverse, is that still an issue? or has it been resolved on newer units?

The specs show the Kioti being 16 inches longer than the L but having basically the same wheel base. Is this just difference in how it is measured or is it really that much bigger? It does look like the grill guard kind of sticks out in front of the Kioti which might be part of it.

Turning radius is shown as 9.81 ft. on the Kioti vs 8.9 on the L. Am I going to notice that much while backing around things cutting grass and brush?

If anyone can share their experiences good and bad with the Kioti brand in the last couple of years I would sure appreciate it. Especially if you went from a Kubota to a Kioti or vice versa.

Have looked at Deere but the dealer network around my area says they do not carry the 3 series only the 4 series and it is a bit to much money. Also looked at the MF dealer but the MF cab lacked leg room which put the pedals to close. The MF dealer is also the NH dealer and did not want to show me any NH equipment.

Comments appreciated. Just want to get a unit and get some stuff done.

Thanks!

Good luck with your search. I am going to sign the paperwork tomorrow for a Kioti. I have researched Kioti a good bit, but there are still some unknowns. I like the dealer and hope to have good service with the tractor. I hope you get some answers to your questions.

I have had my Kioti for almost 5 years now. 600 hours on the meter and no problems to report.

It's a great tractor and I still look for things that need to be tractored.:tractor:

AllByteNoBark, the Kubota L4760 cab would be a closer comparison to the Kioti NX4510HST cab than the L3560. I was just about to stroke a check for the L4760 in 2014 when I decided to look at the Kiotis, and ended up with my NX. Both are great tractors, and you would not go wrong with either one.

I've been so impressed with the NX since then that I added a CK3510SE HST last year, to have the smaller frame size, with an open station.

The momentary "lag" that you've seen mentioned is just that, momentary. For me it's barely perceptible, and has never been an issue. It's my understanding that the swash plate operation is intentionally designed that way, so I doubt it's any different on the 2019 models.

Can't help with your question on turning radius.

Have fun tractor shopping!

Have owned many brands including JD and Kubota. Last time around I was impressed enough with the Kioti and had heard enough good reports to give them a try. That was five years ago and I have been extremely pleased so far. Not one day of trouble and it has lived up to all my expectations.

I was looking at ~45hp cab tractors last week. I visited with Mahindra, JD, Kubota, MF, and Kioti dealers in East TX. I thought that the features, specs, pricing, cab layout and factory incentives of Kioti were far beyond the rest. Additional remote pricing was also much better than some of the others and there are well-positioned slots for three in the cab.

I bought an NX4510hst in Dec. last year. Have put 96 trouble free hours on it. I run my 6' bush hog, box blade, grapple with extra power. Just disked and drilled my 15 acre field with it. I love mine.

I'm at 341 hours wish I could say total trouble free. Overall great bang for buck but if they don't get this latest round of issues resolved I maybe looking to Trade or Sell!!

Thanks for all the replies. I appears to me that the NX is a great deal. With that said I have found a dealer with an L3560HSTC which is what I originally settled on for my needs. They are getting the third function and a rear remote for it and hopefully will have it ready to go in a week or so. I do realize that the L and the NX are not apples to apples in the size I am looking for. The DK would compare closer but the seating arrangement did not fit well. I'm also afraid that the NX, with its slightly larger size, would be a bit overkill for my needs. Time will tell is I have made the right decision.

The main deciding factor is my closest Kubota dealer is 10 minutes away and the Kioti dealer 2 hours. While I am getting the tractor from a different dealer the local Kubota dealer is the one who told me where to look to find it and also that they would be glad to be my servicing dealer. They had been trying to get me one for some time but seems the supply is tight. Hopefully will be making a road trip to pick the unit up before long. When I do I will post some photos.

Thanks again for the info and answering my questions. I've always been a more HP is better kind of person. Guess I am mellowing some.

Bought a NX4510 last November. Just passed 200 hours. Had a B7800 Kubota before. 2000 hours on that machine. The HST on the Kubota was instant. The Kioti does have a slight lag, and was 'different' from the Kubota. Now don't even notice. Like the 2 pedal HST over the rocker that Kubota has. That was a big factor in going with Kioti. Did have one problem from the beginning, the rear main seal was leaking. Must have been a bad seal from factory. No issues with warranty fixing it. Since, there have been no issues. Very happy with machine. My Kubota was very light and limited in what it could do. The NX with the bigger weight makes earth work much faster. Price wise, 8k cheaper than a comparable Kubota. I think the HST plus on the Kubota is probably nice, but not 8k nice. That will get me 3 new implements. Hope your search goes well. Don't think you'll go wrong with either brand, but I would stay away from the 3560. 35 hp in that size tractor will leave you wanting or needing more power. Go up to the 42 or 47 hp one. The dealer had a NX 5010 on the lot for 3k more. Wish I would have gone that way. Oh well, still very happy.
