3rd function valve pricing

My local dealer is quoting me $895 plus tax installed for my ck3510se . Does this sound about right?

That's about the going price for a true third function.

Kvmatz, do you know which brand of kit the dealer is quoting?

If it's the W.R. Long (true 3rd function "electric over hydraulic"), that is an excellent price fully installed. Especially since you've already taken delivery of your tractor.

I am verifying that now. All he mentioned is that he keeps plenty in stock and that they are doing several per week. Also said I could drop the tractor off and it would be ready the next day.

I was told that Kioti came out with their own 3rd function. The dealer I spoke to had no other info other than the pricing. If I recall it was right around this price. Was for a CK2510 though.

The WR Long kit for $895 installed sounds like a good price. We offer the same kit for $837 with $50 off if you order with a Wicked Grapple, but no installation(of course)!

One of your grapples is why I am getting the third function installed. Hopefully I will be ordering soon. Can I come pick it up? Your about 25 minutes from me.

That IS any excellent price for a W R Long installed. The Kubota dealer charged $1100 for mine.

I had my dealer install the Kioti 3rd function on my CK2610. They did a nice job installing it and it looks great. I'm waiting for my grapple and once it arrives I'll put it to good use.

That does look nice. Do you mind me asking what it cost? Do you know of any advantages or disadvantages of the kioti brand kit over the others?

What grapple did you order?

Not to take away from the WR Long kit (or Travis at EA because that IS a great price esp if you're getting a grapple anyway) - but depending on your preferences, free time, and abilities you might be able to build your own cheaper.

I was not a fan of the control stick or the solenoid mounting location of the WR Long kit so I did my own thing.
I also added a few little things that are not in the WR Long kit and came out at about the same price point, but what I learned in the process was invaluable.

I have attached my write up - it was never meant to be step by step directions but I wanted a little more detail that a couple pictures and a "Hey look what I did". If nothing else it will give you a rough idea on whether you want to tackle this or not.

As for grapples - I also highly recommend the Wicked Grapples. That Wicked 55 wasn't around when I got mine so I have the 50" Compact Wicked Root grapple (long bottom style).
Love it - stays on the tractor until I specifically need the bucket or pallet forks.
Now if I had it to do over and were able to pick between the two - it would be a hard choice, but either way you can't go wrong with a Wicked grapple.

What grapple did you order?

The 3rd function was $768 and the install was 3 hours. I had the dealer install 2 rear remotes which were $420.

My total with install for both was $1445.

I went with the Kioti brand because I liked the remote and also because it was Kioti brand so it was made for my FEL by the company that made the FEL.

I was quoted last week 802.20 for the genuine Kioti kit on my DK4710SE HC, and 500 for install, grand total of 1302.20 plus tax, I'm guessing....the install price felt quite high...That said, whether I do it myself or pay them, I'd go with Kioti brand as well.

Bumping this thread. I will be helping a buddy shop for a new CK3510SE HST. He'll want a 3rd function kit installed by the dealer before delivery. I have the W.R. Long 3rd function on two of my tractors, so I'm familiar with its operation on the NX and CK series.

I've watched the Larry Stovesand YouTube video on the new Kioti-badged kit, KIOTI 3d Function Valve demonstration from Larry Stovesand Equipment - YouTube, but other than that, I know very little about it.

Would love to hear input from TBN members who've had a chance to operate both. Comparisons, contrasts?

Also, where does the Kioti valve install on the CK3510SE and CK4010SE? The YouTube video shows the Kioti kit on an NX model, and the valve seems to be installed medial to the right-side step. The CK3510 does not come with a right-side step. I have installed one on mine, and my buddy will likely do the same. Because of lack of clearance, however, I see no way that the valve could mount there as it does on the NX. Does it perhaps mount forward of that, adjacent to the FEL quick disconnects, as the W.R. Long valve does?

I know that Michigan Iron & Equipment has recently developed their own 3rd function kit for the Kioti models, and it sounds very nice. I haven't yet investigated the practicality of having MIE drop ship a kit to a local dealer in this region for installation here. I'll probably try to reach Bob tomorrow to explore this.

Like $140 bucks now. You'll need an open center D02 subplate if you get the same valve as pictured.

That's a great price, my dealer in East TX quoted $850 on a new NX4510 or NX5010. Which model are you negotiating on?

Cost me $750 installed for the third function front remote on my NX 5010 I bought last week.

Mahindra dealer charged me about 1400 as I recall. Probably on the high side but they do a lot of them at that dealer and they know what they are doing.
