Our big black dog...... Wandered down the driveway while I was washing farm equipment about 3 years ago. Whe tried to find the owner through newspaper and radio ads, nothing, so he's become a valued member of the family. Goes everywhere with us and sleeps in the bedroom every night (on the floor beside my wife) I feel for anyone that might want to harm my wife, he's extremely dedicated to her and I'm happy he has a home now.

Did I say I really dislike anyone who abandon's any animal that cannot fend for itself.

We used to live at the end of a road and had many long term pets that began as castaways. Some of the best we ever owner that became permanent members of the family. I thought they seemed to know that we saved them.

We lost both of our Border Collies this year.
KT our black & white was taken by cancer in May, two weeks short of her 10th birthday.
Honey Pie our red & white suffered from old age complications and went in August at 15 years and 7 months of age.
Both were national agility champions and Honey was a registered and certified therapy dog.
I used to take Honey to the local old folks home where she brought a lot of smiles to those who needed a lift in their day.
Both these dogs loved every one they met and where never mean to any other dog or animal they met.
The household is not the same without these two.
