Anyone Have an Iphone 11 PRO?

The best rugged phone I ever had was a Motorola Quantico, awesome phone..

They weren't marketed as such Back When, but Mot's original brick was pretty tough. I didn't use mine that way, but I had a friend who would use his as a hammer if he didn't have one handy - the phone didn't really notice.

When I知 ready for a new phone, I think I値l revisit what rugged phones are available.

Briefly thought I'd cracked my E4 screen (it was just the screensaver); so looked up rugged phone offerings earlier this year.

There is other stuff out there, but CAT sticks in my mind; distinctive product, with a name I know well..... tough phones, but Big, and typically with a fixed battery (I prefer swap-able). Not really marketed as a consumer phone, but I was surprised to find a Toughbook offering - I know what their laptops can take, so have no doubt that would be a ToughPhone.

A buddy of mine snagged an Atom. Great rugged solution, with a small footprint <<<< hard to find today. Not what you'd use to watch video all day long, but a good solution for portable comms, esp. at that price-point.

I have it, sold my old one (XS) on CL for $800. Great phone, camera is better than the XS which already had an amazing camera. The ultra wide zoom lens is actually quite useful. Battery is incredible...I think it adds another 4-5 hours of use per charge. Do I need it? No. But I sure like it!

After buying phones for our boys, my next phone will be refurbished. $800 - $1,200 for a phone? But hey, we (the carrier) will break it down on your bill so you don't have to worry about the up front cost. NO WAY.

That I don't do, I pay for it at checkout and they waive the activation fee..

Sounds good, I don't need mine either.. Some people would rather spend 60 grand on a truck, or 40 grand on a tractor they don't really need, something I would never do but you can do what you want and it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about what someone might buy..

Wow...fancy and expen$ive "phones". I still use the one hanging on the wall. I even have a high tech cordless! Someday I might have to move up to a flip phone.:cool2:

I am planning to get iPhone 11 Pro.

I received mine and have been using for a few days, I like it, I came out of a 7 plus so this phone is smaller and the screen in bigger than the 7 plus..

The camera is really nice, the screen in super clear and the face recognition works perfect.. I bought a screen cover from "Encased", very high quality and easy to install, I bought the Encased rebel case as well, great quality as well.. The screen cover was $15.00 and the rebel was $20.00..

smart phones do a lot of things but none of them well.

Everything I have used my previous 7 plus and new 11 PRO for it has done well..

I hear ya. My "main" phone is still a landline, though I do have a cheapo Tracfone flip phone in the truck to use on the road. I'm mostly retired, but still do a little freelance work for my old employer, when I give that up I'll probably get rid of the cellphone too.
I have no need or desire for a smartphone. Too expensive, too much "fluff" as someone else noted, not very intuitive to operate. Thanks but no thanks.

I also have my iPhone XR in an Otter case. Now it will not fit in any of the "phone holders". It's not so much of a problem though. I seldom take the phone with me when I leave the house or travel in the truck.

However - it looks cool and is "almost" state of the art.
