Just had one done Wednesday. So all this sitting around healing has me going stir crazy. Got a party to go to Saturday. So I will at least get out of the house for a while.

Cannot imagine being home bound as a permanent condition. Ugh.

Been there, done that . . . in 1998. So I sure understand you.

Had mine done in the early 80s. Large scar and had to spend the night in the hospital. I hear the surgery is less invasive now.
Good luck on the healing. Dont over do it. I know its rough not being able to do the things you want to.

Very small incision. Surgery at 1030. Was home by 4 or so.

I had one done several years ago, lower. Sat in the house for 5 days and went crazy not being able to pick much up for 6 weeks.

My dad had double hernia surgery done 2 years ago, I can't imagine having 2 at once worked on.

I had double hernia surgery repair in 2000. Got to sit around for two months while everything healed. Just a couple of small incisions. No issues since.

So surgery was wed. It is now sat. I feel pretty darn good. I work a desk job as my day job. So I think I could be at my desk Monday.

Used the tractor to move some hay today. No lifting anything by hand. Felt just fine.

I had two inguinal hernias (one on each side) and a herniated naval done at the same time. Doc said "you're going to be sore"!!!!!! Wife had to help me up from bed as I could not cantilever myself out for a couple of days. I was on the tractor mowing in about a week albeit very slowly.

I "gimped" around pretty much all summer having to wear suspenders to hold up my pants or shorts. For me, it took time before I could stand pressure on my belly from tight pants and/or a belt. That was 08', no issues since then.

Those cheap toilet risers can make a huge difference........after surgery, those toilets seem so far down.

My wife's sister just had a double hernia repair. She had a complete hysterectomy 6 or 7 years ago. She then went back to work about two weeks later. She has had a h*** of a time lifting anything for the last couple years. She had a MRI or some scan to find issue, they found the hernias. She had the second operation on the 20th of September. Incision from hip to hip. She plans to go back to work on Monday the 7th of October. She doesn't learn from her mistakes very well. She lives in L.A., my wife and I are going there on the 7th to warn her as we did 6 or 7 years ago.
